Excellent museum experience and plenty to look at to keep the kids amused. Some very interesting and interactive exhibits. Particularly enjoyed Eddie Izzards train sets and the small collection of rare and interesting cars! Would also like to give a special shout out to the exceptional staff who were very informative when approached and extremely friendly!
Very good museum for its size. Very friendly staff. Popped in a bit late today with the family. Amazed with all the artifacts from different eras of history, which I had more time to look more closely at everything, definitely worth a revisited. My partner and I had a good laugh when we saw a old Nokia mobile phone in a display cabinet both remembering we had that .
Lovely museum, covering local, national and international interests. Natural history section is a must see, with Dinosaur and mammoth remains found on Bexhill beaches. Great history section. The clothing through the ages is eye opening. The motor section is a must for kids and engineers alike. Bexhill-on-Sea hosted the very first motor race in Great Britain. You can spend hours and hours here. Coffee and cakes also thoroughly recommended.
Brilliantly done guys....loved the museum....and unfortunately we ran out of time and couldn't see it all in one visit. So much to see on 2 floors... Thank you for your help via your guides for a pleasant experience...will be back xVisited onWeekendWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedNot sure
We had a great afternoon in the museum with lots of local history to take in. 3 hours wasn't enough so we shall go again. Remember to keep looking up above and low down for more exciting things.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
A great local museum with an eclectic mix of exhibits covering local history, pre-historic dinosaur bones, a costume gallery, a model railway from Eddie Izzard, a classic car from the early racing history of Bexhill-on-sea and much more. The museum staff/volunteers are hugely knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend a visit, it's a 5min walk from the seafront.
This Museum has plenty to see and explore ,great for children and adults . The fashion section was nicely displayed. There's a car section, shells, fossils and more. Well done to all the staff, I'm guessing they were volunteers? They had a wealth of knowledge and were very approachable. There are refreshments and a few sweets and chocolates available. Not hot meals. Enjoy!
Great place to visit on a Sunday. Our daughters really enjoyed it. They ae 4 and 8.even the little one was engaged in spotting the objects on activity sheet. Although it's a small place there are many interesting things to see. My little ones were impressed by the old phones they could touchand call. Staff was amazingly helpful. From the first step we were greeted with a smile. We'll informed and ready to tell you about amazing things. A very small charge for such a great place. You can also donate you money to help history not to be forgotten.
Just had to leave a review for how friendly and helpful the staff were - really gave it their all to make sure we were informed and engaged throughout. The museum itself has lots of interesting things to discover, and I dare say would have something to get even the grumpier kids out there intrigued. It was very interesting to discover the story of the Augusta Victoria college and subsequently ended up watching the movie that is loosely based on it.
I good museum and interesting artefacts but the staff made our visit very uncomfortable. Two members of staff followed us the whole way around constantly telling my two boys to leave things alone and not touch anything. There is an interactive model railway display with buttons to press and when the women who had followed us the whole way around shouted at my youngest son for pressing one of buttons that I told him to press we left the museum immediately.
