Stayed as overnight guest for a wedding. Room was a suite. Very nice, spacious, very comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom with large bath and separate shower unit. Room 327. Did smell a little bit of tobacco smoke though. Wedding held in function room which was very well dressed for the occasion. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Used gym facilities which were in excellent condition, lots of equipment to choose from for a great workout. Tasty breakfast which was buffet with a great choice but fruit juices had been watered down.
Overall we have a great experience here and look forward to visiting again. Well done.

Called in today for carvery lunch. 3 plate sizes priced at £4.95, £6.95 and slightly more for largest. 3 choices of meat and a very large selection of vegetables. Both meat and accompaniments and vegetables were excellent and plentiful. The staff were equally pleasant and helpful. I will certainly be going again

Booked tables for a family get together to celebrate a 70th birthday.  The restaurant was nicely decorated but what did let the place down was extremely poor service. After ordering food we were kept waiting for over an hour and a half before our food was brought out to the tables. We had several very hungry young children in our group who couldn't understand why the food was taking so long. What can I say..lovely place lovely atmosphere but bad service. It was my first visit here..needless to say that I won't be returning.

Hotel was great, exactly as we thought it would be. Shame not many came to our ball. But the food and service for the few of us was fabulous
