Stayed here for 3 nights in December 2023 with family and friends to attend a weekend conference in central Manchester. We chose the location for it's proximity to the motorway when travelling up from London, and then easy route into the city centre. Room was comfortable and good value. We didn't use any of the other amenities on offer so can't comment on those. But it fulfilled our needs and we would gladly stay again.
Stayed for 1 night before our flight and it was a good choice as in the morning we were at the airport in 10 minutes. Bedroom was a good size , huge comfortable bed , a tv that actually works and drinks facilities. We also had dinner here which was priced fairly and good portion size. Breakfast buffet was nice with really good bacon and sausage. What made our short stay even better was the staff , which made us feel very welcome. We'll be stopping here again in July before our next break. No hesitation in recommending.
Best Western hotel seems a great stop for flights from Manchester airport, away from the bustle of the airport but also on the doorstep it seems very well located. The rooms were of good quality, beds were comfy and everything was expected for a four star hotel. The food was of a decent standard , we eat at the bar. Overall I think the hotel is good for a stopover before Manchester Airport or to travel onwards elsewhere.
I had a 5 day stay to celebrate my birthday with my kids and they made a s feel welcome. The hotel is much more modern than it first appears. The original hotel has been extended at the rear of the original building. I had a single room and though it was on the small side it was clean and comfortable. Food d is served in both the restaurant and the lounge bar from very similar menus. In the dinning room you can enjoy a wide variety of excellent food, well prepared and presented. In the lounge bar it is less formal and there is a selection of sandwiches added to the menu. There is plenty of free parking but don't forget to register your car when you arrive. Rooms: Something for everyone. Breakfast is buffet style with some items cooked to order. There is a choice of hot and cold food with fruit juices and coffee/tea from a machine. Lunch and dinner both come from the same menu which has a great selection of international dishes.
Room smells "musky", 24 room service doesn't work, TV remote batteries are almost dead and I have to stand directly in front of the tv, coffee machine is on its last legs. Cheap and VERY cheerful. Rooms: As basic as you will get. The downer was the lack of 24 hour room service, otherwise I could forgive the very basic room.
Very tired hotel Breakfast wasn’t great. Plenty of choice but quality poor. Avoid this hotel if you drive an EV… £1.20/kWh… absolute joke! Booked to stay here for one night before a work conference early the following morning. Arrived v late at night and noticed a few flies in the room. Not ideal, but was very tired after a 4 hour drive and thought it wouldn’t be a big deal. When I awoke the next morning I realised the situation was much worse than anticipated. There were over 50 flies in the room and bathroom as well as lots of dead flies on the floor. It was absolutely disgusting, they were thudding into me as I tried to shower. I have attached photos to this review to show the scale of the problem. The fact there were lots of dead flies on the floor implies this room was not cleaned for some time. After this I requested a refund as I feel no one should have to pay to stay in a room like this. I was told to leave these images with them and I would be contacted by their management. Held off on leaving this review for several weeks to allow time for the issue to be rectified. It took 2 weeks for anyone from management dilpreet to reach out to me I had to chase it up several times and when they did they denied my request of a refund and only offered a laughable discount off my next stay absolutely not!. It has been over a week since I responded to this email of theirs and still no response, hence I have now decided to leave this review. Have stayed in several best westerns and not had a problem, this issue and the way they have handled it has put me off ever going again.
Awesome stay. Lovely comfortable hotel, within easy reach of Manchester by tram. Food, service and staff were top notch. Will definitely stay again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
Less than 10 mins from the airport. Contact the hotel for a local taxi service. Cheaper than airport taxis. Very good restaurant menu. Lovely garden area and spacious. Very good breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Rooms are cosy and well appointed.Rooms: 4/5
I just received a 100 pound parking fine for a 34 min stay whilst I was loading a car to leave the hotel with my cases. Avoid the hotel at all costs you have been warned.Rooms: 1/5
