Uber tutors helped my son to improve from year 8 levelwhen he was at year 10 to year 11 within one year. They have a very good system that starts by assessing the the level of the child and then recommended the lessons required. However it doesn't end there. They also consider the child's personality and meticulously find the best tutor who would mach with the child. Prior to Uber tutors we tried a few other companies but none had a proper system in place. The tutors are very knowledgeable and helpful. There's clear and effective communication between the teacher and parents and a detailed feedback provided at the end of each and every lesson. As a result, our son passed his GCSES with very good results. Thank you Uber tutors.
I completed the Essay Crash Course during the summer before my final year at university. I hugely benefited from the process as I learned skills to finally understand what a university essay demands in order to achieve a first. This course closed the huge gap in teaching how to write a university level essay. I now feel equipped to complete my final year and hope to increase my marks from a 2:1 to a first as a result of the valuable tools learned during the course. My matched tutor was really helpful and gave in-depth explanations to give me confidence in the new method of writing, something I did not learn at university. During the course I worked on an example question from one of my university papers with my tutor which was a hugely valuable exercise. I now have a worked example alongside the explanations given during the sessions which I will use throughout my final year. I will now implement what I have learned from this course and make significant changes to my work which I hope will be the difference between a 2:1 and first class degree.
The tutor matched to me was very helpful. Her essay writing course contributed to my first year history average going from a mid 2.1 to a high 1 in second year. The course focused on structure and presentation of analytical ideas. Learning the basics again, even being 19 years old, proved to be incredibly helpful.

I looked for an essay writing summer tutor for my children as I feel the English system does not focus on teaching children how to present analytical thinking in written form but rather mainly on content. It seems to be assumed that the children will find their way to writing good essays and clearly many do. However, coming from the American system, in which the process of HOW to write a good essay is taught almost as a standalone subject, I felt that my children would be best served going into a writing task with the strongest possible toolset so that the ideas and ultimately what to write would become their only challenge. How to write would be second nature. I contacted Tania at Uber Tutors after a lot of research and, via her incredibly personalised interview approach, she matched a fantastic tutor with my children. Over the course of the summer, they learned how to structure, present and write an argument. They also learned how to incorporate evidence, be it literary, historical or data driven. Not only do they now approach every school essay confidently dare I say enthusiastically? but their teachers have mentioned their writing skills to me across the curriculum. I cannot thank Tania and Uber Tutors enough.
After 2 years off from my master program and outside of the UK, as an international student I struggled so much coming back to campus for essays writing and academic research to complete my master program and final dissertation in only few months. We have been recommended Uber Tutors by one of the parents whose son has passed entry exams into one of the well known independent schools in London. Having tried a number of private tutors without much success, we have finally decided to approach Uber Tutors and to my delight it was the right choice for my daughter. She had an initial interview with the head of the agency to ascertain her academic skills as well as interpersonal skills in order to match her with the right tutor. You are required to book a course of lessons usually 10 first. That said, my daughter absolutely enjoyed her lessons even though they were 1h30 or 2h long and had a fantastic rapport with her tutor. She had a combination of on line and in person lessons and it worked extremely well for us all. The tutor was very professional, methodical and provided very useful reports after each lesson, which enabled me to monitor my daughter’s progress on a regular basis. My daughter successfully passed her 11+ exams, CAT exams as well as entry exams into one of the well known independent girls schools. I would definitely recommend Uber Tutors in order to enable a child to gain confidence, boost their academic skills and get them well prepared for their exams. I shall use Uber Tutors again if my daughter requires any revision booster!
I had never used a tutor before for my daughter and found Tania and Uber Tutors through Google search rather than recommendation, so I have to say I was quite a hard sell on whether tutoring could deliver real value. But the experience has been extremely positive. Tania is hands on, attentive and sensitive - she really does put a package together which responds to the learner. The tutors she has matched my daughter with for 2 GCSE subjects have been really impressive young people. Can heartily recommend.
I had the best experience with Uber Tutors for my 10-year-old son's preparation for the 11+ exams. The service is simply the best and I tried many. My only complaint is that I wish I have found them earlier. Keep up the great work everyone.
My daughter started University during the Covid Lockdown which was incredibly difficult. She was left virtually alone in a room to make sense of the course material and with no access to peers other than vague figures on Zoom, she really struggled and lost so much confidence in her ability she considered dropping out. Having worked with Uber Tutors during her GCSE's, I contacted them to see if they were able to provide some coaching. As always, they were very responsive and understood immediately where my daughter was emotionally and educationally. We couldn't be happier with the person they chose to match her with or more grateful for the support and help she has been given which was academically tailor-made to her particular needs. Emotionally she is back feeling confident and resilient again and making great progress on her course as she enters her final year.
