I used Best Solicitors 3 years ago when buying my first home. The process was slow, which I don't think was their fault at all but I did always get told the same stock phrase when I called them for an update which didn't help me understand why nothing seemed to be happening. Anyway, we got there in the end - however, I was sure I had transferred too much money to them for the purchase I'd had to do it in several instalments due to banking app limits but they told me I was wrong. Two years later they emailed to say I had overpaid £2000 and they returned it to me. This was very annoying but at least they did return it I guess!  I recently instructed them for my next purchase and it turns out they are no longer on the Barclays panel, which means you cannot use them if you are getting a mortgage from Barclays. I had no idea I had a Barclays mortgage last time as well and had already made my first payments to them and filled out loads of forms before my broker flagged it. They were initially very difficult in response and said they couldn't possibly tell customers the whole long list of which lenders approve them etc and that they couldn't return my money as it was already spent on checks and searches. I was not impressed with this as I had listed Barclays as my lender on my forms and they did not take payment to begin the searches until 3 days later so I felt they should have checked the forms first and told me that Barclays won't work with them any more. I instructed new solicitors, who offered to see if they could use any of the searches to save me paying for them a second time - when I then asked Best Solicitors which searches they had done, suddenly they agreed to refund all my money except for their onboarding fees which is fair enough. So either they hadn't actually done any searches yet but were just going to keep my money OR they had, but then were embarrassed when I pointed out they should have checked my forms first so they refunded it anyway.  Either way, it has been a frustrating experience. I am grateful for the refund but wanted to flag the Barclays issue to future customers.

I found them very friendly and efficient. I was pleasantly surprised as to how easy the process was and how quickly the sale was completed, took just 3 months. No problems what so ever , I would highly recommend them

I am really pleased that I went with Best. Having previously bought a home and having a nightmare with solicitors i was a bit nervous. However, the service I received was amazing. The team were always quick to respond to email and if I rang the office they picked up fast and took my call and dealt with my queries then. I never had to chase someone for a phone call which previously was a nightmare when i last bought!. They were quick to pull up issues and didn't let them go - potentially saving me quite a bit of money were they not raised! Bethan & Kerrie were both very friendly during the process too which made the whole process much more enjoyable. I would recommended this team to anyone looking for conveyancing and I would 100% use again. Thanks both!

Really disappointed with the service provided. Initial meeting gave us a sense of optimism but assurances came to nothing. Emails were left unanswered with constant out of office replies. Appears to be no cover when staff are off sick or on holiday which seems a near constant situation. Avoid this company.

Bethan, Kerrie and the team were very professional and made our house move happen. Couldn't thank them enough for the hours of chasing they must have put in and all the last minute stress down to other solicitors in the chain!  Highly recommend.

We used best solicitors when purchasing our first home. I would highly recommend them to anyone. As first time buyers, obviously the process was completely new to us but Stephanie Harvey and Courtney Marsden were just incredible throughout the entire process. We were constantly kept up to date with where we were during the purchase. Communication with them both was fantastic and any questions or queries we had were always replied to straight away. Due to no fault of their own, it was touch and go if we would be able to complete on the day we were originally scheduled to. Courtney was fantastic during this stressful time. She made sure she did everything she could and really fought our corner with the other company that was holding up the completion and we ended up getting the keys to our new home on the original intended date thanks to her! I had high expectations when I engaged with this solicitor firm to handle my friend's case involving a seller. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be incredibly frustrating and disappointing.  First and foremost, the solicitor assigned to our case did not demonstrate a strong work ethic. There were several instances where they failed to complete their tasks in a timely manner, causing unnecessary delays and stress. It seemed like their attention to detail was lacking, as important details were overlooked and had to be repeatedly addressed.  Moreover, what compounded the issue was the solicitor's frequent absences due to holidays. It felt like we were constantly waiting for their return, which further prolonged the already protracted process. This lack of availability significantly hindered progress and left us feeling neglected.  Communication was another area that fell short of expectations. The solicitor often failed to respond promptly to our queries, leaving us in a state of uncertainty and confusion. Clear and timely communication is crucial in legal matters, and their lack of responsiveness made the entire experience even more frustrating.  Overall, I cannot express enough how deeply disappointed I am with the level of service provided by this solicitor firm. Their lack of professionalism, poor work ethic, and inadequate communication have negatively impacted the outcome of my friend's case. I expected much more from a firm of their reputation, and sadly, they failed to meet even the basic standards.  I strongly advise anyone considering their services to proceed with caution and thoroughly evaluate other options. It is crucial to find a solicitor firm that is committed, reliable, and responsive, qualities that were regrettably absent in this particular experience.

We have used Best solicitors twice, both time they done an outstanding job for me and my partner. Always very responsive and informative.They really helpful and explain everything in detail. Their prices are reasonable. Brogan Ward guided me calmly and with expertise through the process of a small but tricky transfer of land adjoining my property. She gave me confidence that I could trust and depend on her throughout the process by keeping me updated and contacting the other solicitors when we had not had progress or updates from them as expected. When she was unsure about a technical planning issue she consulted a more senior colleague for advice and explained options to me clearly and patiently. I believe she is an excellent solicitor and would certainly ask for her guidance in the future.

Fantastic service even after 10 months since the sale of my properties. Even though I had cancelled the insurance policies for the Properties, the insurance company have not followed my request and I had overpaid, therefore I needed proof of sale and the dates on which the properties were sold. Courtney was most obliging and produced the documentation I required in record time. My most sincere thanks and gratitude for such first class service. I am most impressed with Courtney and I hope to hear she has been rewarded for her commitment to her work and hope to hear very soon that she has been rewarded by means of a promotion, which she most certainly deserves.
