FANTASTIC fried fish. The prawns and the cod were SO tender. The only thing I would recommend is to add a wedge of lemon with all orders - we didn't notice our takeaway boxes didn't have it and we could've really done with some acidity! Thanks!Food: 5/5
I am ordering three fish and chips in Beshoffs Clontarf which I have often done over many years. When the fish is placed on top of the chips and the box is closed the trapped heat/steam makes the fish and chips soggy. So as usual I asked to have the items separate. Wayne then tells me he will have to charge the items separately which is approx 4e more! I have never heard anything so ridiculous or guiding the lily! I told Wayne my views and he shrugged ans told me that was the rule and not his fault! ....lovely! Maybe Mr Beshoff will read this review and get back to me. Costa Chips down the road very willing to oblige so maybe take my business there in future!
Small, fast food fish and chips place with great fish. It’s small on the inside, so there’s no place to sit and wait really. The fish was great though. Amazing gluten-free options!!Food: 5/5
Friday 21st. July.2023. Dreadfull staff behaviour. We were very rudely & loudly dealt with in front of other people , and over charged €5 This is simply unacceptable. There was a time in Ireland it was a pleasure & a treat to go to your local friendly chipper. Well not in Beshoffs Clontarf. For following reason. We bought 3 Fish & chips. Asked they be bagged seperatley because we find that the fish in a box with the chips makes them soggy. This simple request was met rudly and a un-documented over charge. Not good enough Mr. Beshoff cheap & mean.
Veg burder was great I love their food, chips weren't cooked, request for salt vinegar on chips and drink,all missed,two staff were at counter,none of them taking order,just busy with chat each other,no good for business I love food from hereFood: 4/5
Got veggie burger and chips last night and partner got fish and chips. Both ended up in the bin. Absolutely brutal. Very surprised and disappointed because we got food there a good few times in the past and it was bang on in fairness but last night was really bad and neither of us could eat it. Fish was stodgy chips limp veggie burger soggy.
Service with a smile. When you forget your curry sauce and you see a staff member running like the wind to bring it to you, you know you are dealing with a great shop with fantastic staff. Food was lovely, staff went the extra mile and all were polite. Thank you so much.

The fish&chips are absolutely amazing and are fresh. We placed a huge order after a family gathering. Everything that we ordered was perfect and not one mistake. Everyone enjoyed their Fish&Chips! I was really happy also due to not having Beshoff BROS Fish&Chips in over Twenty Years that they have not dropped their high standards. It should be noted I am originally from Dublin, Ireland, traveled all over the world with the US Marines and the United States. I definitely know a great Fish&Chips from all my travels. Absolutely disgusted with the food I was handed here today. I can understand today was a very busy day with the good weather but still all the same i expect to get a decent fish and chip meal. I got a haddock meal along with fish bites and chips and 2 kids meals the fish was okay but the chips were unedible so much so I couldn't eat them especially after discovering a hair on top of them! still has me sick to my stomach. I am a huge fan of beshoffs normally dine out in the Howth branch but the cues were too long today sorry I wasted my time and money comming here!! Won't be back for sure was too far up the road and traffic was too bad otherwise I would have come back and demanded a refund!
Much nicer than the malahide branch. Wish they'd sort the malahide one because I travel 40 km for gluten free fish and chips and malahide disappoints with dry scampi or underwhelming battered hake every time. Clontarf is still delicious luckilyFood: 5/5
