If you're a BMW customer, be prepared for various situations. Here's one that I never expected from the main dealer. Our BMW IX50 which was only 6 months old spent several months in the BMW service center in 2022 not days or weeks, but months. At that time, my wife was pregnant and understandably uncomfortable driving a different car, especially since we weren't provided with an electric vehicle as an alternative, although we were given another car. We didn't mind the situation and accepted it. Nobody is immune to things breaking down, and BMW handled everything correctly. It took a while, but they got it done. What surprised us wasn't that. As soon as we got the car back, we found it in a terrible condition. The interior smell was so bad that my wife couldn't even ride in it. I have no idea what was done inside the car and which mechanic left their scent behind. I took the car to a service center where they did a chemical clean, paid a substantial amount, and the car smelled like before again. Robert Warrior from BMW, who was in charge of the car, called us to ask if we were satisfied with everything. We told him we weren't and explained the reason. He called back and said that since we didn't have our car for several months, he would like to offer us tickets to the theater or a family dinner at a restaurant as compensation for the inconvenience. He set a limit of £300. We were supposed to spend the amount and then send him the receipt. We never asked for anything ourselves, and it was entirely Robert's initiative BMW. We bought tickets to the Cirque Du Soleil show, where we had a great time. I sent the receipt to Robert. He said he would need to wait for BMW authorization and disappeared for several months. I reminded him, but received no response to my email. After that, I drove by and stopped by his office. He said he was still waiting for a response. In January 2024, he accidentally replied to my email, mistaking me for another customer regarding a car purchase. I replied that I was still waiting for his response. He disappeared again and returned after 10 days with a response that they had received the money for us. It was January 17, 2024. He said I needed to come to him, that they had issued a refund, or send a photo of the card. After some thought, I sent him a photo of the card, although it seemed strange to me. He said he transferred the money. It's been 20 days, and the money hasn't arrived. I wrote to him, and he asked for a photo of the card again not the details, please note. Ten days later, in March of this year, I wrote to him that I still hadn't received anything and said that I would rather leave a review than beg for money. We paid £120,000 for the car. And here's the service we received. I spent much more time than these tickets were worth. But I wanted to finish this matter on principle.nnI have never had any problems with this dealer before. I had a wonderful experience with Sofie Mendus and other people there, but unfortunately it didn't work out with Robert Warrior. Please keep in mind such treatment when considering purchasing a BMW at Berry Thames Ditton BMW. Update: they refunded the money
This is the first time I have dealt with Berry’s. It has been an extremely positive experience. Munem’s approach was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He listened to my requirements and this resulted in the purchase of a car which matched my requirements.nI have visited a few dealerships recently and Berry’s service has surpassed all of these.
Great car, salesman decent, Usual BMW approved experience & a few surprising issues:n- 2 days after collection, my approved car demanded an oil changen- brown stain on the steering wheel buttonsn- no water at all in windscreen washern- have to pay £200 for auto headlights, not explained, annoyingn- car config spec is not available on web site anymore so I can’t reference it as I work my way through the 400 page manualn- endless emails about a dozen? esignatures and edocs for 4 insurance services I didn’t ask for & didn’t want
