Tasty food. Like a lot of Indian restaurants, the food isn't too authentic, but adapted to Western taste. This is a shame. Biryani was good, but not spicy enough for me. That's my personal preference though, and the waiter was kind enough to give me some chilli to add to the dish. Music was pretty crap. Give me some Indian or Bollywood tunes over that any day.
Food was absolutely delicious. Very fresh and clean; the best Indian meal I have had in years. Service could sharpen up a little though.
Amazing food, great setting, fantastic atmosphere. I first visited the Bengal Reef about 6 months ago and have since become a regular. I wouldn't buy Indian food from anywhere else in Reading.
The service was the slowest I have experienced in a long time. When the food eventually came the chicken was very dry. Even after we had asked for the bill it still took another half an hour for it to come
Was good years ago. Now run by a bunch of amateurs. Dishes taste the same and getting a 2nd drink is a mission.
The food here is always excellent. It's usually quite quiet, as well.
