Reviews

All of our expectations from reading the glowing reviews were either met or exceeded. The setting is a genuine working farm in a lovely area and all of the physical aspects like the room, the en suite and breakfast were outstanding but what puts Belvoir B & B into a league of it's own are the genuine salt of the earth hosts. We arrived after 8pm but were greeted warmly by Diane with a cup of tea and home made banana cake. Despite being obviously very busy on the farm with harvesting in progress Diane spent time with us answering any of our questions and giving us a good insight into life on the farm and making sure we were totally comfortable including giving us some milk in a small thermos for an early morning cup of tea in the bedroom.

After a delightful breakfast Diane again spent time with us giving further insight into their lives and showing us around the farm buildings and machinery and pointing us in the right direction to go and look at some paddocks and the herd of cows. Diane is a lovely, unassuming person and the insight she gave us into rural England and an extremely relaxing stay is exactly what we wanted. We parted company with a hand drawn map from Diane showing the best route to enjoy some views back to the A1, a new friend and a lovely memory.

Well what a find in the Farm Stay Book, could not ask for a nicer place to stay for a few days. We were on our way to Sussex Coast and stayed at Belvoir B & B for three nights on the way. It is a really  nice place to stay. We were greeted by Diane as we arrived and over scones and coffee she spent much time telling us about the area, the places to visit and drew us a map of places nearby to eat in the evenings (all of the ones we tried were good).The room was very nice and the breakfast  was the best we have had at  any B & B or hotel etc.
This is a farm that we would definitely visit again  if passing through Nottingham and recommend to friends Thank you so much for a great stay at Woodside Farm

Very pleasant and accommodating couple, quite and peaceful farmstead in the Vale of Belvoir, near Belvoir Castle, would highly recommend.

I stay at Woodside Farm whenever I am working for more than one day in Nottingham. I have stayed at various hotels in the city but now much prefer Belvoir B&B - the rural location makes it much easier to get a good night's sleep and Diane's breakfasts are so much better than at the hotels. After day's work it is great to be offered a pot of tea and a home-made biscuit or cake, and the WiFi access is really useful. Highly recommended!

My wife and I had a very comfortable night's stay at Woodside Farm. Diane made us feel welcome and turned out to be an expert map drawer. Great breakfast to set us on our way: we will be back one day soon.
