We have eaten here 3 times since it re opened & I must say it is the best I've ever known it. The food is outstanding. The staff are friendly & the service is really very good. If you haven't visited since it re opened then I urge you to. The food is of a really high standard & so delicious.
We had an amazing lunch here. The sun was shining, the food was lovely, the staff were fantastic and the pub itself was cosy and comfy. A big thank you to Laura for her amazing service and being so attentive. Asha
I had a gorgeous meal here on Thursday. Our first time going back since new owners and we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was cooked to perfection and very tasty - massive compliments to the chef! Also the staff were very welcoming and attentive too. Will 100% be back!
New tenants from June this year are certainly turning things around. Very welcoming, great choices and superb food to suit all requirements from 'small plates' at £6.95, upwards. Moved away from basic 'pub grub' which everyone else does, and offers food from an excellent chef not cook that makes going there for dinner feel like a real treat. The best tenants for a very long time. This gem needs supporting.
Good food in rustic surroundings. Lovely staff, polite, friendly and unobtrusive. Beer kept very well. Each food course was delivered quickly, met expectations and some dishes exceeded. Decor appears to be a work in progress with lots of rather hastily filled fixing holes in the walls which does detract slightly from the charm. A big plus is that this is a dog friendly establishment, but did not appear to have any canine offerings. Would definitely return.
Fantastic meal, really enjoyed the house burger. Pub was quiet when we arrived, the waitress took the time to come over and chat which was nice. Little playground outside kept the kids entertained. Highly recommended.
Very limited choice on a Sunday and unfortunately the entire menu had black pepper in all of the dishes so the chef could only offer steak and chips for Sunday lunch which wasn't ideal. The staff were very nice though.
Great food, lovely setting, good service, reasonably priced. Lovely outdoor play area. Will definitely go again.
We went for sunday lunch all i have say I was very disappointed. We were shown in to the restaurant. Which seem to lack any atmosphere. I orderd the pork loin .when it came it was presented ok but i couldnt get my knife through it very tough and tastless .The potatoes were burnt just not appetising i left most of it i did tell the waitress when she collected the plates that i wasnt happy .I may of not bothered i still paid full price and not even offered any discount or even a complimentary coffee .The knifes were blunt making it hard to cut through anything .This is the first time we have been since it was took over unfortunately we wont be returning.
Hi this was our first visit but certainly will not be the last. The food we had was truly fantastic. Meat, vegetables and Yorkshire puddings were all done to perfection. Our desserts/sweets were also perfect. The waiting on staff were brilliant. Attentive, well attired and polite, they went out of their way to make sure you were happy with everything. This was our belated anniversary meal and boy did we come up trumps! Thanks to the owner and staff 10 out of 10
