Best night out plays the best music ever lol I love the place go have song and a dance with everyone. The bar starves are on with a big lovely smile and going round with shots for everyone love it. Keep it up Rooms: 5/5
I stayed for 1 night . The reception is in the pub and the barmaid had to pull few pints before I booked and in.quick service though. The room was very clean and warm. The bathroom was immaculate and quite big.although I was in a single room there was still plenty of space . The bedding was smart and fresh and the room well decorated . No complaints
Live in Thorne, enjoyed my night, but the lady's toilet was very bad, smells BAD!!!
Not stayed in the hotel part myself so can't comment on that. Friday and Saturday evenings are great though, their resident Dj Daz makes it a fantastic night full of karaoke and classic tunes.Rooms: 3/5
This pub is great. The people who drink here are fun. The bar staff including me are excellent. But not all. One needs re-education in race relations and manners. But the owners 100% and the Fairgreen family. Fantastic.
Think this is more of a party hotel than a family one. Room smells a little musty. Came to check in and they had rock music on a large flat screen tv so loud we couldn’t hear what the gentleman behind the bar was saying. Lots of shouting and patying going on outside until about 1am so had trouble sleeping. Other guests noisy could here them talking and banging doors and then at 430 heard there phone alarms going off so not much sleep for either of us all night. Apart from that they were friendly and helpful rooms worth what we paid.
Very warm welcome and staff were always polite and friendly. Room itself was perfectly comfortable with an on ensuite and towels provided. The bar wasn't too my liking so much as I don't drink however, no noise could be heard from the room itself. Perfect place to stay if you're planning a trip away.
loved it. stopped in a guest room, the price was great and the room was way better than I expected. lovely pub downstairs great atmosphere and great value drinks. will def be using again. very pleased. and must mention the friendly helpful staff and good breakfast too.
Start with the positive - staff friendly and helpful and breakfast was lovely hence the 2 stars otherwise I would have given no stars. Now the negative - the first room we were given first of all should be charged at £10 a night as it was so shabby, there was only 1 bath towel and 1 cup and on further investigation dirty sheet obviously it hadn't been properly cleaned after the last person. We asked for another room which we were given, it was much nicer but absolutely freezing. There was no hairdryer apparently you have to ask for one which I wasn't messing about with at 5.30 in the morning when I had noticed there wasn't one but at least it had soap unlike the first room. Very overpriced for what you get. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and this was definitely the worst.
Only a one night stay in room 10. A single room that had just been very tastefully refurbished. Comfy bed and clean roomy bathroom. Evening meal and breakfast superb. Pub service really friendly and might benefit from some local ales. Only negative was the shower needed a bit more oomph! Otherwise would have been five. I hope their refurbishment plans go well and look forward to staying there again in the near future.
