Very friendly staff, and exceptional quality. This is one of the best cafés in Edinburgh. Unpretentious and consistent.
I used to go here all the time when I worked round the corner and the baguettes are excellent. I still drop in from time to time when I'm in the area. Friendly service too.
Something for everyone served by friendly helpful staff. Do try the polish dumplings for someone a but different and the chicken noodle soup brings back delicious memories from childhood.

Nice cafe to eat in or take away. Better than your average choices plus a polish variety. Friendly people especially when you've been a couple times and you get to know each other. I've been going a few weeks now because of the quality quantity and price. They now have a 2nd place the Painted Rooster at 10 Melville Place Edinburgh.
