I booked an appointment to discuss a breast problem with the doctor, I explained through a translator that I had a mammogram in my country while I was on holiday, and that the mammogram results required further investigation for some abnormalities, I had been asked to have a breast ultrasound urgently, but the doctor refused to request an ultrasound in the hospital, so I wonder if they don't help you with problems what's the point of contacting you doctors. The doctor gave me antibiotics that in my opinion I didn't need because the breast pain has been there for over a year. So I'm really disappointed with this service, I will try to change it as soon as possible, I strongly advise against it.
I had to call to TRY to get an appointment for a young relative. Excuse after excuse as to why an appointment was not forthcoming. Despite expressing that the young relative was in pain and we had done all we could, the receptionist then at the end challenged me in an extremely cheeky way and with a bad attitude which left me absolutely disgusted. Appointment ? Give all details, doctor maybe will call you back in 3 days. If urgent, you may get a face to face appointment. On one occasion, I was in an appointment when partner - apparently his phone rang, he answered immediately disregarding me being there and had a seemingly enjoyable lengthy chat with a friend while I had been informing him of the medical issue and related symptom. I stopped as it was as if i was not even there. I had an appointment with another doctor on another date who I informed there were 2 issues, she told me I was booked in for one and if I wanted the other issue dealt with I had to go and make another appointment. She had a very distinct "my time is precious" attitude. This, despite me stating initially over the phone prior to the appointment being given that there were 2 issues. When I attended on another occasion with my then 4 year old daughter who was quite afraid of doctors, I wished to be politely informal so as to keep her at ease. What I received in return was an entitled attitude of self importance. This surgery is a disaster and I don't even bother trying attempting to get an appointment for myself anymore when necessary as I know it is a waste of time. To this surgery, please spare me your generic reply with submit a complaint form and how sad you are about my bad experience-s. You are the WORST surgery I have had the absolute misfortune to encounter. As soon as I find another surgery that is not within your group, I intend to register there. You are hopeless to the extreme.
Completely awful. I have an MRI booked this Friday and concurrently have a chest infection. The trauma surgeon asked me to go back to these massively useless people and try to bump up the appointment I have Thursday to as soon as possible get antibodies to control the chest infection before I have the MRI If I’m coughing and spluttering in the MRI the scan won’t work. If there’s a delay to a potential surgery it increases the chance of complications and failure. I may end up permanently crippled if it is delayed. I explain this to the receptionist, who tells me that rather than squeeze in a phone call today and get the infection under control….that I have to go sit in a and e for 4-6 hours in the hopes they will prescribe my antibiotics today. Which I just can’t do. Basically decided to make sure I’m crippled for life than help me. Worst surgery imaginable, don’t sign up here. They will go out of their way to make sure your health outcomes are the worst they can possibly be. No idea where they get off calling themselves doctors. Doctors do no harm- harming patients is what Bellevue is all about. UPDATE: Phone call with them was another complete joke. Was told the duty doctor was an emergency call and did not know how long it take so I should call 111. It’s not even 1pm. Apparently I am supposed to believe the doctor will be on the call for the remaining 4 hours of the work day. They said they would not be able to call back today. I can’t call 111, they’ll want me to travel to an urgent treatment centre to be seen, as explained to these …shall we call them people? I am looking after a sick child and can’t leave the house to go to an urgent treatment centre. The doctor isn’t on a call for the next 4 hours, they are just refusing to help a patient because it would be effort and they don’t want to make one. Terrible surgery. Literally just straight lying about not being able to call me back today, and I may even losing the use of my arm for life because they didn’t want to make a phone call they hadn’t planned too. Everything about this surgery just sucks, the staff are terrible, the doctors are lazy and the modality group is basically siphoning off as much taxpayer money as they can in exchange for not actually doing the job of being a GO surgery.
This is the worst clinic ever - they are telling you to give them a call at 8:00 sharp and you call…you call…you are waiting…and nothing happens, nobody is answering and when they are finally answering 9:00/10:00 is already too late and they are making appointments just for that day . They are telling me that is fully booked and when you pop in there to see if is really so busy is literally dead!!! Why we are paying NHS monthly, for whattt???? Disgraceful behaviour and full of lies!!!
Do not visit this place. Pull out your records find another better clinic. These people will make it worse for you which can lead to mental break down to other serious issues. Do not register with them as I had very bad experience. Also Frankie who replied to this message, AI does their job well.
Impossible to get appointment when you need one, some Drs. are rude and even argue that you cannot be in pain or needing treatment without seeing you face to face! The reception staff that were any good all left no surprise there and the only decent ppl left is nurse and about 2 Dr. who you hardly ever see! During lockdown on the other hand this surgery was good. Why couldn't they keep the online consults open after is beyond me as you cannot get through even when you ring bang on 8am
I would like to give ZERO star if I can!!! It is very rediculous medical centre!! My husband phoned to the centre and tried to book an appointment. The staff told him that you don't need to book any appointments and just come any time. We were so confused. When we arrive, the other man in reception said you need to phone us to book an appointment before come........
If there’s less than one star I would happily give it. Really bad service. I have been handing samples 3 times and they keep saying that it’s lost. It’s ridiculous how they deal with patients. The worst part is booking an appointment, It’s a nightmare.
The actual worst GP in Birmingham city, never have appointments and a very antiquated service. I would go elsewhere, it is a good example of how terrible NHS administration has become.
These receptionists have brought down the standard of the NHS into the like of Indian standard that you see in their states of Bihar and UP! They communicate in Hindi even when their are clients talking to them. Speak English, idiots or go back!
