"Situated in the quiet village of Ashley Green, just outside Chesham and a short drive from the M25 and M1, The Bellcote pub is a wonderful place to eat, drink, and relax. Our modern, open interior features a rotisserie oven that produces slow-cooked, succulent meat daily. And if the weather’s fine, we have an extensive patio and garden area complete with trellises—at night our garden furniture is decked with lights, creating a beautiful space in which to socialise. If you’re not in the mood for rotisserie chicken, we also serve a carefully-chosen menu of British pub classics, elevated to restaurant style with intriguing sides and unique accompaniments."

I went with 3 friends, Between us we had pizza, the burger and steak. The sirloin was amazing but small, burger looked great my friend said it was well worth the price and the margarita pizza was bland. But the pepperoni pizza was good just had a bit too much pepper. The atmosphere was great and the overall outside and inside so beautiful and aesthetically pleasing.
Visited in April 2022 and I must say I loved the food. We had roasts and all of them were exceptional. The staff members seemed happy and were pleasant to customers. The place itself is also very pretty and I would definitely recommend it. We will be returning!: Also the beer garden- a Vibe!
Very VERY disappointed unfortunately with our food order today. I understand its a bank holiday but this wouldn't be an excuse as to why the food had to be of such quality. I have attached a photo of the pan fried hake which I ordered as a main. The hake fillet was clearly frozen and the vegetables where lukewarm. It had loads of big pieces of garlic in the dish and the fish was absolutely tasteless and very dry. Had to borrow my partner's lemon slice to give it some taste as you can see in the photo. You would at least expect a fresh fillet for £17. Other than my dish, my partner ordered a fish & chips which was swimming in oil the batter and the chips were cold. My mum ordered a pulled pork burger which, had some hard bits inside and she had to take them off which, was also very unpleasant and her chips also cold. The place was very understaffed and they were focused on a 30th party going on. In general, even though local and regular, now I am definitely not considering visiting again.
When arriving a staff member was near to greet up on the stand, lovely to be asked where we would like to sit. We sat in the conservatory which was lovely. Staff gave us good time to to view the menu but asked what we would like to drink after a few minutes, then once the drinks arrived asked If we were ready to order food. Food came out all lovely and hot and we were asked if we would like any more drinks and sauces. Checked in to see how our meal was which was absolutely wonderful. Checked if we wanted the heaters on as the temperature had changed. Overall experience was brilliant and service was spot on and the food was perfect. We have already been speaking of when we can next plan to visit next. Huge thank you The staff really are a credit to you and your lovely restaurant
The food was lovely and so was the setting of the pub, but the staff were miserable! This was our second visit here as it is beautifully designed and we enjoyed sitting in the conservatory area. The food overall was really good, however there was no sauce in the burger which was a bit of a shame as it did make it a little dry. With regards to the staff, we had dealings with several of the waitresses and they were all very miserable and really didn’t look like they wanted to be there. They were not rude by any means but sometimes it is nice to have a warm welcome and a happy face when being served in a nice restaurant. Unfortunately we had a similar experience the last time we came, even overheard waitresses speaking to each other about how much they hated working there… we thought it was a one off and maybe a bad day but it was the same vibe on our second visit. As mentioned above though the food was delicious, the portion of fish was huge so will maybe try this again if we return.
The pantry staff always manage to thwart the best efforts of a very professional and experienced management. If it was run right would be 5*. Prices are good for the area the dishes are the veggie aubergine 11/10 for that. The steak was amazing and excellent value. Just a shame it was served medium rare not medium well we asked for
The venue was great. First time impressions visiting was good. The food was really nice. We had pizza and triple cooked chips for a qui k meal. What let our experience down was the service. The place seemed to be run by kids who have no understanding of how to give good service. One girl could not be more uninspiring if she tried. Found a massive hair in my food, which also let down my experience.
Afternoon stop off, my steak sandwich left a lot to be desired, my pint was from the end of a barrel. Nice staff but the final straw was the salad presented with my sandwich, check it out! Got to do better.
Lovely smart restaurant. Not busy at all even though it's Christmas Eve, attentive staff and good service
Me and my friend really enjoyed our visit. The pub was warm with exceptional decor. In particular we liked how spaced out the tables were from each other, often in pubs you can feel crammed in, so this gave a good sense of space. The food was amazing, we had duck and the desert was just as good. The waitresses were nice and attentive. I honestly couldn’t fault the visit and will be sure to visit again.
