I will always be so grateful to Belford Hospital. Thank you so much for the excellent care over 5 days during the Christmas period when I became unwell whilst on holiday. Ambulance, Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy, Catering, Domestic teams - 1st class and brilliant. Even Father Christmas called by....
What an amazing team!! I was so apprehensive going in about having to go under anaesthesia being my first time. I was so anxious but the entire staff were incredible. They made me feel so comfortable and were so attentive after my surgery. They even phoned me to make sure I was doing ok after being discharged. Despite all the anxiety I went through beforehand, I will never again have the same level of hesitation and it’s all thanks to the wonderful staff. I was only there for the day on the Isobel Woods day case unit and every single member of staff including the charge nurses one being a trainee nurse who was so unbelievably sweet! and the theatre nurses, the surgeon and anaesthetist were all superb. Thanks for taking such good care of me!
We were so grateful to the A and E Department of this hospital whilst we were on holiday. Our 16 year old son who has a complex medical history became unwell whilst in our apartment. We took him straight to the hospital and were met with greatest compassion, empathy and professionalism that we have ever experienced in the many times we have had to visit other hospitals in the UK. Our son was treated quickly and efficiently and above all we were reassured. We were discharged a few hours later but told to go back at any point if he deteriorated. Thankfully he went on to get better quickly and we, as a result, continued with our holiday. Thankyou to this hospital. You are the best we have ever come across and would feel more than safe to holiday here again in the future.
What an excellent reception I had at A&E. After a minor accident while walking. I was deeply impressed at the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. It’s a bizarre thing to leave a review of a hospital but I wanted to express my gratitude to the nurses, doctor and radiologist and reception, all of whom could not have been caring and accommodating. Thank you so much!
Can't be more grateful for the speed and efficiency which the team of this beautiful small hospital run. My 91year old dad took unwell and was seen in seconds by amazing people. Thank you ..we made the Jacobite the next day.
Unfortunately I needed attention. Ambulance service was fantastic, especially due to location, team was very professional. Hospital staff overworked underpaid but amazing. I needed treatment and xrays etc and said my host was picking me up at a certain time and they really put themselves out to help. Thank you to a great team.
Had to attend after a mtb accident I had at Nevis range I Cannot praise the staff high enough particularly nurse Mairi didn’t get her surname who was amazing and the surgeon that did my stitches was so friendly and did a brilliant job All the staff were were so professional and friendly from the minute I walked in and so busy I was receiving treatment within 5 min of walking in….where else would that that happen in an A&E department? Thanks guys
Thank you very much for all the help from A&E Staff and Doctors who looked after us so well!! They were all amazing looking after our little boy, and we really appreciate your hard work, your professionalism and your kindness. Feeling thankful
I cannot rate the staff of Belford Hospital highly enough. I was assessed as needing a hernia operation by Raigmore Hospital who were also excellent. I agreed that I would go to any hospital in NHS Highland area and was offered Fort William. I was pre operation assessed by telephone. The assessment was thorough and professional and left me confident that I would be in safe hands. The whole operation day could not have been improved on. At every stage nursing and surgical staff were friendly, welcoming, caring, knowledgeable, professional and willing to go above and beyond to make me feel relaxed. Anybody being offered a procedure here should be confident that there is considerable expertise available. My home was in Dingwall.
Never wanted to use a hospital whilst on holiday, but I was left with no choice. I had an accident lept from a waterfall, got it wrong and ended up here in the A and E. Funny thing happened tho. My wife had to drive me there, we were staying about 12 miles away, down a single track road. At the best of times my wife doesn't like driving, especially with me as a passenger, couple that with driving Lochside.... u get the picture. Anyways, she suffers very bad anxiety, me turning up at our accommodation with the kid's yelling " dad is hurt" sent her into a panic attack that was at its peak as we arrived at the hospital, so much so, nurses attended to her first they thought she was the patient. Anyway, once sorted they tended to me. They were very good and not in the slightest bit judging of me and my dangerous leap that led to my accident. Result was 2 broken metatarsal bones, one requiring surgery. As it was our final day, I asked if I could be temporarily fixed up and get my surgery done at home in Birmingham. They did this :- Can't find fault at all. Obviously I don't wish to return, but if I ever need to I know I'll be in safe and caring hands :-
