It is a typical chinese buffet with a good mixture of dishes to choose from.Can book ahead as it seemed to get busy fast. Staff was really friendly thumbs up for them! They have a bar where you can have soft drink, beer,wine or spirits. And for dessert you can enjoy a strawberry jelly.
Love this place. Have been on many occasions and at different times. Staff are absolutely brilliant. Attentive without hovering. So friendly. Love the food. Always hot and plenty of choice. Plenty of each dish so you can eat as much or as little as you want. My youngest always has tons of rice and a little chicken curry! Have been in with just me and youngest, and have been in as a group of 10 and ALWAYS get the same brilliant service. This place is our families first choice when going out. Have even been in three times in one week!! Keep up the good work guys! Love it!!! ;-
Very rude staff who greeted us to an empty restaurant and advised us that they were not cooking any new food as it was 60 mins before they closed. We accepted although a good proportion of the buffet food was cold. Not only were we unable to finish the food before the bill was presented but we were asked to pay before we had finished eating and then to make matters worse, not even allowed to finish eating! When I went to take a wrapped cake from the dessert area as we'd been forced to leave food we were told that would be classed as takeaway and they wanted money for it. Lunch time session closed at 2pm and by god they were not staying open a minute longer, a very overpriced, rushed and unpleasant experience, no wonder they were empty!!!
I recommend you check the food standards website for the hygiene rating of this place. It was 1 earlier this year and has improved to 3. I found the place run down, food cold or not completely cooked through. Most was reheated left overs. Staff were quite aggressive when challenged. Better eateries elsewhere
Came to the Beijing tonight with my friend, not been to this restaurant for about 4 years, and I wont be coming again, food was ok, but not brilliant . The restaurant is really filthy, especially the carpet, there is cobwebs up in the dome, and thick dust all over the lights. toilets was also really bad. Silk flowers arrangement by the bar had more dust on it than colour!! , other than the food this restaurant has absolutely nothing in it to make it look like a Chinese restaurant , music playing in the background was 80s, and not something to make sound authentic. Paper table covers... wish I'd have taken more notice of the place before we sat down, we was so engrossed in our conversation to notice , just got our food Sat back and carried on chatting. We told the manager of all the problems, and he said it was because of the landlord not spending any money on the restaurant. I just think your bloody lazy and don't clean. Hate to think what your kitchen looks like. . Shame as use to be a great place to go.
Just had the sunday evening buffet at £9.90 per head so wasnt expecting it to be great, i was right. Some of the food was ok but the satay and other sauces had been left out so long they had a skin on them. Toilets were disgusting as was the restaurant, i dread to think what the kitchen was like. Filthy carpets, food splashed on paintwork and even dirty plates. Our coke had bits in it ?? Not sure what it was but didnt pay for it. Overall, its relitivly cheap but still not worth it. I have eaten in cheaper and far better. To be honest i really dont know how they are allowed to be open, i checked the food hygene authority which rated it as 3 in 2017. It must have been better then
Restaurant and food was excellent, had to mark score down as after spending £82 in there I was asked to pay another £4.90 for a box of left over spare rib bones? it was even a waiter who told us to get the box for them. As you could imagine I didn't and subsequently told them to throw them in the bin, made a nice pleasant night into an unwanted talking point and they have lost future visits from ourselves by being unacceptably rude at the end of our evening.
Not impressed with this place.. Everything looked and tasted the same, not a great choice and it was cold. No desserts available, when we asked for some they brought out 4 tiny tubs of jelly... There was 10 of us but they said that was all they had left!!! They would be better to offer a chargeable dessert menu. No waiter service they just stood around, didn't even ask us if we wanted any more drinks. Having said that it was only £9 something for the meal a head excluding drinks of course so I'm probably being harsh... Ok for a few friends to visit but definitely not a intimate couple place, wouldn't return.
In the main no complaints, one small suggestion, l like my food hot, and we had a buffet, and because it was early before 6, we thought the food would be better fresh at that time in the evening, and the food was good, but it was not hot, just luke warm. Cold plates did not help. Clean and tidy, staff helpful, priced right.
If I could give it a 0 then I would. Wouldn't even feed the food to my cats. There was barely any food to pick from and everything was cold, looked reheated and disgusting. We left within 5 minutes after being unable to eat anything other than seaweed. Anther couple walked out after being seated for less than a minute also. When telling the manager we wasn't happy with the food and just wanted to pay for our drinks and quite literally the mouthful of food we attempted to eat we had no apology and were just told "It's a buffet, you pay the buffet price as soon as you get your first plate". Awful, awful food and terrible service. Would never go back!
