Great family-friendly place for a wander, a bike ride or a play. Although the woods are mostly spruce they are nice for walking or cycling, particularly down by the loch. The adventure playground is excellent. The rare breeds & other animals at the farm are fun to visit. Decent cafe & friendly, helpful staff including outdoors/environment blogger Ben Dolphin who is a countryside ranger here in the summer.

Absolutely stunning place. Love that the campsite is literally beside the woods. It did get kind of cold and rainy but that's Scotland for ya. It can get really windy so definitely remember to bring a windbreaker. It's a great place to take the kids and the dogs out for a weekend to just walk around and enjoy nature. Wish we had the opportunity to go out on the lake but the lake house was closed on Sunday. It was still beautiful and obviously well maintained and the animals looked well taken care of. The cafe staff were so nice and friendly, and the food was yummmmmy!

Needs more parking at peak times but decent enough range of land to trail run or bike. It has a children's play area also and animals.

Lovely place, very close to Edinburgh but totally worth of visit. Lots of paths to choose for a walks, Highland coos and reindeers on the way. Pure nature, new visitors centre with a cafe offering warm beverages, soup and some other dishes. Open 10-4pm over winter time. Beautiful views over bridges, pentland and other hills.
