Beautiful but £14 for a car to enter is too steep. Also cafe kitchen shut at 4 even though we were told 5. Bring your own lunch and use one of the many benches. Very picturesque.
Bedgebury is an amazing day out. We have membership and go all the time. They have playground areas for very small to teenagers sizes. There are walks to do thet take you around various lakes, just beautiful. There are 2 cycling trails, one for less experienced on a road surface and an off road mountain biking trail. Great cafe area. Thoroughly recommend.
First time here doing the Christmas light show. Was so much fun doing the trail, despite the freezing temperatures and the frozen Fantasia feature, which we didn't actually get to see, on account of the lake being frozen! Very pretty, loved the music and the thematic displays. Had some good food outlets with good choice of food and drinks for the journey along the trail. Pricey! But you'd expect that. Would recommend. Got some pretty pictures for my collection... Restrooms: Cafe on site with restroom facilities and also some portable options along the trail. Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly. Must have dogs on leashes and obviously under close control.
An excellent day out for the whole family, walking, hiking and cycling tracks for all competencies. At time of visiting there was a Super Worm and Gruffalo trail that the kids could follow, and there is a very manageable 2km trail around some woods with play areas for the kids scattered around it. Go Ape has a location here at an extra cost but plenty to do without doing that. As of August 2022, parking fee is a fairly steep £14, but this includes access to the entire site for everyone in the vehicle as well so it works out good value. Would definitely recommend to others, and will be revisiting myself.
Lovely mix of activities and areas; beautifully managed. Tried the family bike trail. Quite a few uphill sections, so a bit challenging if not fit, but wnjoyable. Wide, clear paths, well kept. Playground: A few playground areas about. Nice range of traditional slide/swings, as well as climbing/clambering equipment. Also Go APE. Restrooms: Toilets by the cafe. Baby changing area and shower. Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly, just no dogs allowed in the cafe itself, but there is a covered/enclosed area on the end where dogs are allowed. Plenty of dogs throughout the whole of the park and picnic area. Picnic area: cafe and picnic area. Picnic area-Maybe 10 or more benches and tables around the lake. Gets busy in the summer but plenty of grass to sit on nearby. Cafe sells burgers, nachos, sandwiches, cake and salads. Had squash, feta and chickpea salad, tasty and filling, just what I needed after a bike ride.
Such a magical place! This is perfect for all ages : As you walk through the woodland your treated to an array of festive lights, displays and music : You can toast marshmallows on the fire the salted caramel eas amazing it was so nice being out in nature like that and experiencing such a festive place! we loved it and will be back next year!
Beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The Pinetum is easy to walk around well maintained paths with charming views over the lake etc. The forest is more dominated by bikes but plenty of walks too, see the website for suggestions. We love to walk out to Louisa Lake.
One of the best Christmas lights we had seen. Roughly 30 minutes drive away from Orpington. Almost a 60 minute walk , might be longer with kids. Get a pram if your kids don't walk too much . There is a small restaurant at start and in the middle of the walk. Please wear comfortable winter clothes as the forest is quite cold.
A wonderful, chilly, wintery experience... Tuck into your hot chocolate & have a wonderful wander taking in the atmosphere & the brilliant light displays... Top tips: 1- Wrap up warm... It was freezing! 2- Wear comfy walking footwear it's not muddy on the trail 3- Enjoy yourself! Playground: There are rides in place, with tickets available from the kiosk Restrooms: Plotted about the walk, there are toilets/portaloo's There's also various food outlets along the route too! Dog-friendliness: Dogs are always welcome at Bedgebury, responsible owners, will already know to be prepared.. Picnic area: Many opportunities for food & areas to consume food/drinks
Lovely place to go for a walk especially on a sunny day. Pram friendly routes which is good if its been wet. Lots of other routes you can do. Great play areas and one for younger babies. Quiet in the week and very busy at the weekends. Lots of different routes and paths to take. Excellent cycle trails. Shame the parking is so expensive but if your making a day of it then it's more worth the money. Good place to take a picnic. Café has very yummy food and drink and ample seating inside and out.
