Had a night away before all the Christmas chaos. The staff were very polite and friendly. William on reception looked after us very well. The food was great. We used the spa which was very clean and enjoyable to use. Only a 10 minute walk in to Newmarket.
Top drawer, plentiful parking, lovely grounds, superb bar. Nice open fire. Rooms spacious and modern. Dinner was surprisingly basic- food burgers, pork belly was well below par sadly. Spa was fantastic but needs to be booked around a month in advance of arrival.
Met up with friends and stopped here just for drinks. Very attentive staff and quick service. Set in beautiful grounds. Lovely courtyard that has full sun when it's out. Friends had stayed here in the past and said the rooms and restaurant are very good. Prices for drinks were very reasonable. Would certainly visit here again
Lovely hotel, plenty of parking. Welcoming staff, and friendly, helpful breakfast/bar staff. Coffee came with a home made cookie, nice touch.nRooms a nice size, and good to see travel size shower etc waiting for us in the bathroom. It appears there should have been bathrobes but we didn't know that until we left two night stay, which is a shame as that little provision is something I look forward to.....will ask in future. Biscuits provided only once, upon arrival, but a strange mixture of lavender and shortbread, so perhaps just as well. Drinks not overly expensive.nA very good sized swimming pool, and jacuzzi with sauna.nConvenient walk to Newmarket high street.
I have always wanted to stay at the Bedford Lodge after hearing great things about it from fellow racegoers at Newmarket. I wanted a special treat to make my mother's 90th birthday. Staff were lovely, thanks to Maria in reservations for helping me with all my queries.
