Beckett and Sons quickly became our go-to spot in Stornoway, keeping us happy and well-fed with delicious, filling, and healthy food. The warm, light-filled space, complete with books and plants, has plenty of seating, and even when it was busy, we always managed to find a table.nnThe staff are professional and friendly, and the service is impressively quick, making it easy to pop in for anything from a coffee to a full meal. We visited as often as possible over our four-day stay—stopping by for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks whenever we were nearby. The carrot and sweetcorn fitters are SO GOOD.nnAs a vegetarian, finding a menu full of healthy, vegetarian-friendly options was a joy and a huge relief. It might sound hyperbolic, but this restaurant truly improved the quality of our trip and made our time on Lewis feel that much more special.
Loved it! Very friendly people, good food, and great atmosphere. Menu choice isn't huge, but if you're just looking for something simple and filling this is the place. Very fair prices, and dog friendly. We'll be back.
Delicious coffees and scones! We had breakfast here both mornings. Today we shared the scrambled eggs and pancakes. Both were very yummy. We got scones to go!nnThey have ground decafnot instant and oat milk. Service is friendly and prompt. Friendly vibe of small families, elderly and kids coming from school for a snack during break. The best eggs benedict I've had in a very long time. Thick slices of smoked salmon with eggs poached to perfection.nFriendly staff, efficient service and dog friendly. Plenty parking in the public car park next door.
Mixed feeling about this one! Loved the cafe’s atmosphere and vibe and decor and coffee was great but food was a tad bit disappointing. The corn fritter was soggy and the coriander oil didn’t taste anything like coriander. I thought the dish was quite bland and expected better
