Everything automated at check in which was simple to use. Rooms was a smaller room but extremely clean and comfortable, well equipped. Decent shampoo, nice variety of teas/coffee sorry I took them all. Trust bar which I didn't use and snack breakfast which I didn't take either. All in all I had a very pleasant stay, just be prepared for no restaurant or breakfast - my company told me both was included!!! Plenty of pubs and eating establishments within 5/10 minute walk so it wasn't an issue for me.nElectric vehicle charging in the car park. Property lovely looking and well maintained.nInternet quality very good.
Me and my partner came for a weekend stay, our room was modern, fresh clean and spacious. We loved how close Beaumont House is to coffee shops and bars, we particularly loved the Curious Cafe for breakfast and the Five Alls for a boutique style pub experience. We'll definitely be back to stay!
Manager was super abrupt when a problem was brought to her attention. Super unprofessional, I understand if she lives there with her family but having the reception trashed with toys and kids in the office and no parent or adult to be found is pretty not on. Our room smelt funny, we had a bug on top of the bed!!! And then we even got accused of lying about it! Only good thing was she offered a refund but so she should. Not happy and super disappointed we had to find a different place to stay at 8pm.
We stayed at Beaumont House at new year - a big group. Everything was perfect. Rooms are large and clean, brilliant service and the hotel’s walking distance to town. Would definitely recommend.
This is quite a hard review to write, because the hotel and experience were all fine, particularly for the price, which was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. However the one thing that I can't get past is that Beaumont House is listed as a 5 start hotel, which it clearly isn't. In all fairness, I didn't see the stars listed or mentioned on the premises, just online, so it might be a mistake, but this should be updated as very misleading. I would certainly be scoring much higher if it was listed as a 2 or 3 star establishment, which is what you are getting. The self-service check in was OK, and worked, although I would still prefer some form of human interaction when arriving. Luckily I did find someone to talk to, and they were very helpful and my room was ready early, which was a bonus. The room itself was fine, though a bit dated and dark, being at the top of the hotel. Again the sort of room one would expect in a Travelodge, rather than a boutique hotel. It was clean, and the bed comfortable. As others have pointed out, there is no breakfast service at all - just help yourself to some cartons of juice, make yourself a tea or coffee, and a few breakfast bars or a muffin. All fine for those in a rush, or having to leave super early before breakfast starts, etc. but again not acceptable for a boutique hotel, and a million miles from a 5 star experience. Again no one about in the morning, apart from a very pleasant person cleaning the rooms, who I had a quick chat to. As I say, Beaumont House is hard to review, as nothing essentially wrong, and I would stay there again at the price point I was offered, but it almost felt like a do-it-yourself hotel from check-in to breakfast to leaving. I can't recommend it if one was looking for any kind of luxurious or boutique experience, however.
