Recently registered after moving and was very happy with previous surgery so unsure what to expect. My daughter recently had unknown rashes and even though I couldn't get a same day appointment when I originally called, the lady on reception asked me to send through pictures. The doctor reviewed and asked to see my daughter on the same day. When we got there, there was great attention to detail, didn't feel like our doctor was rushing us out or the standard "it's viral" that a lot of doctors tend to do with children. Overall, exceptional team and felt very looked after. This is the same experience with two visits close to each other. Thank you!
I'm always so happy with the care and service provided by the staff at the surgery. Lorna has been wonderful as well as the Drs who have been approachable, empathic and have really listened to us. The reception staff have always been helpful and friendly. There's so much negativity that passes down to projected criticism of staff, but you guys are doing a fab job please don't forget!
Update 20 Aug 2024: thank you advanced nurse practitioner Anita Rai for the careful checking of my upper respiratory tract infection. I was under the weather but felt so much care and concern. Also will be taking a good rest. Anita’s service was professional and amazing. Update 9 Jul 2024: Coming from a country with the world’s most expensive but world class healthcare system, I am grateful to doctors like Dr Chandan. He doesn’t treat me like a number. He explains the medical concept and genuinely treat me as a human and all covered by the NHS. GPs and especially specialists should learn from good doctors like Dr Chandan. Being new to the neighbourhood, I was apprehensive over registering with a GP in Bearwood. I was wrong. The experience and the service provided by care associate Sonya Rai and RN Lorna were superb. I never felt so welcomed and my blood tests appointment were ordered promptly to rule out any suspicions of Stage 1 hypertension. I was given a feeling that I am part of this neighbourhood, welcomed and accepted. I begin to have new found faith in the NHS, having heard so many heartbreaking reviews here - I was truly apprehensive but my worries were assuaged.
I feel that more and more the pressures on GP surgeries could impact negatively on the service provided. Thankfully that is not the case with Bearwood Medical Centre. In my opinion I feel that this is primarily because of the staff at the surgery. We are lucky to have such caring, dedicated and professional staff to tend to the diverse needs of a challenging area.
Fantastic service. Can always get an appointment same day for both myself and my children. Whether it's a 'standard illness' or something quite complex, Dr Chandan and Dr Malik are very knowledgeable and supportive. Lorna is an amazing nurse, and as with all the staff truly care and want to help each patient. Reception team are also amazing and always on hand to offer support.
I think we need a bit of balance here. We’ve been visiting this doctors surgery for well over 40 years and the staff do their best. We have never been mistreated or spoken to in terms referenced here. Last week my wife felt really poorly so we phoned the doctors at 10 am last Monday morning and they said come in at 5 pm which we did and we were treated with the upmost respect
The staff at Bearwood medical practice are fantastic. Their empathy, care , understanding and organisation has been above and beyond. No delay in waiting and thorough care and due diligence . A stark contrast to mine and my partners experiences at other GP practices. Very happy to be in their care and can’t recommend them enough.
Doctors at Bearwood Medical Centre are very good. Only criticism I have is making an appointment to see a doctor. I only phone when is necessary but cannot get appointment unless I call at 8am or 2pm and then am told all appointments gone call back tomorrow. I have the NHS app and am not allowed to make an appointment on it. All of this needs addressing ASAP. If I call and am offered an appointment which I cannot accept for any reason I am told to call back the next day which is very annoying.
I was with my previous surgery for many years, in the latter years the services went downhill & I found it difficult to even get an appointment.! Since moving to the Bearwood Medical Center I have had very good service from the reception team, the Nurses and the doctors... They have delt with my various ailments with concern and suitable resolution services. THANK YOU ALL
Late review, but the nurse i saw and the people ive spoken to over the phone have been a delight. Im usually really nervous about going to the gp and these lovley people made me feel right at ease every step of the way.
