Great place to take a break - lovely chill area outside to sit and enjoy a delicious coffee, and there's lots of pastry options too. There's also a nice selection of beans I picked up the two in the photo and they will grind them for you if you like. Will definitely be on my list for go-to coffee places now :
My usual spot for the best oat flat white in blackrock! The weekend staff are fantastic and always write messages on my cup that make my day. Laoise is always getting me to try the different guest blends, I’m soon to become a coffee connoisseur! Emma and Katie always play the best tunes and create a great buzz in the place - it’s so nice to go somewhere that you feel the staff really take an interest in not only the customer but the company they work for.
The standard has gone down so much. Got an Americano and Mocha. The mocha just tasted like a milky bland coffee, no discernible coffee or chocolate flavour. The Americano was really unpalatable. The service was borderline rude too. Seemed to be an inconvenience to even be ordering coffee. Coffee were made with such haste too and just plonked down no eye contact nothing no thank you or any pleasantries whatsoever. We binned both and bought coffees in the much better Hatch down the road. Really disappointing, have been going here occasionally for years.
Absolutely fantastic cafe, with great coffee and amazing pastry selection, with particularly impressive gluten-free / low-gluten options. Really nice enclosed garden space out the back too,
When living in Ireland, we used to frequent Bear Market Blackrock often. We recently were over for a holiday and decided to pop in. As we were travelling, we had no Euro account. We were mainly using cash as our international cards were costing extra. We were told, after taking our order, that they do not take cash. I have since found out that this has happened on a few occasions with other friends of our's. Cash is actual legal tender and therefore, unless there is a sign where customers are informed that the shop does not accept cash, which at the time there was not it has to be accepted. Disappointed with the arrogant and obviously ill-informed server.
I was in on the weekend and service was fabulous. The coffee was delicious and the staff are always so lovely making it such a nice vibe. Will definitely be making this my regular spot :
Lovely little coffee shop in Blackrock. They've a nice little terrace area out the back with benches and tables. Lovely array of different flowers and plants. A bit on the pricey side but would say it is worth the price as the coffee and hot chocolate were very nice. Definetly recommend if passing by Blackrock
The best coffee and croissant in town! Incredibly cozy place, friendly staff and delicious coffee!
Wonderful garden terrace and amazing Cruffin , yes it's a mix of croissant and muffin with vanilla custard on the inside. Must have! Nice cafe right next to the Black Rock market. I will go back. Only one recommendation : they should ceramic cups all the time and ask if it is for takeaway, only then give the paper cups. Bit more earth friendly!:
I ordered a cappuccino with almond milk as I am lactose intolerant. The almond milk was heated up so that it was scalding hot and the coffee was undrinkable for a long time. By the time I was able to take a sip, the almond milk had separated and… denatured, I guess? Worst coffee I’ve had in a while, at 4€+ also very expensive.
