Fantastic place to go. Very interesting. We went in August so it was very busy. Be warned we queued for 1 hour for fish and chips and they cost £8.50. Each! So take a packed lunch, especially if you are taking the kids. We will definitely be going back, because it is that big we didn't get to see all of it.
This museum is a great place to visit, although it is very big!! If you want to enjoy it completely and with calm it might take you at least two days. Also, if you want to try the fish and chips in there which are made in the old fashion, I would suggest you to be prepared for the long queue!!
Really good day out, you won't get around in a day though, but you get a year pass with your day out. Old style buses to travel on, train ride, the mine was closed due to covid, kids and us enjoyed it
Great place to spend a few hours with friends and family. Lots to do and see and lots of historical information. Plenty of toilets and eating places. Even a fun fair for the children. Well worth a visit.
Passes last a year, transport is free around the grounds, great actors. Lovely place to take the kids and visit as a tourist. This is a village set in the 1930's/1940's. Pit village, houses, sweet shop, mechanics garage and much more.
