Have stayed twice whilst visiting the Museum. This hotel is above average with pleasant well trained staff and highly recommended for easy access to the Museum. Very well suited to retirees enjoying a peaceful retreat and families enjoying a bit of lovely when doing other things.Rooms: 4/5
Had an amazing time with my partner! We had recieved a stay as a gift from a family member and weren't disappointed. Unfortunately, we were only staying for a single night. I would recommend a minimum of 2 nights for this hotel. The bed wasn't quite big enough for us. I think it might be a small double bed. Aside from that everything else was fantastic. The food and service from the hotel and restaurant was exceptional. Nearby activities: Beamish is a must visit place if you stay within the area.
Stayed here for 2 nights for my daughter’s wedding. It is the most beautiful venue and made a perfect wedding environment. The staff are absolutely brilliant - calm, professional and endlessly patient, no matter what demands were made of them! I can’t fault the venue, the staff, the rooms - and as the food, it was outstanding. We had the most wonderful time. Thank you!
This is nothing short of perfect! We held our daughter’s wedding here . The staff are exceptional! The food well can only say perfection. The day & night couldn’t be more perfect! If you are looking for a wedding venue Stop right here . You will not find anything better . Can not praise them enough. Just absolutely lovely Rooms: The rooms are excellent We booked several for our wedding guests . Just perfect
Had a lovely one night stay, bought as a present for me via Buy a Gift. Hotel is in a beautiful setting, spotlessly clean with very professional staff. Breakfast and evening meal delicious and good choice on menu.Rooms: 5/5
Stayed last weekend , the hotel is a beautiful building set in lovely grounds . We paid £175 for a 1 night stay with breakfast. We also ate at the restaurant and the food was lovely . When we booked over the phone there was no mention of a wedding party when we were planning to stay . Upon arrival again no warning of a wedding party . We are not against weddings or party’s but when we were intending an early start a good nights sleep was going to be key. Our room was positioned above a brightly lit alley way that lit up our room , also we were above the wedding party room which meant it was very similar to lying in a tent at a music festival , on top of that the noise from staff coming in and out with empties in trolleys , rowdy party goers and 2 fire alarms throughout the night it did dampen the experience. We rang reception we were told he couldn’t do anything about it and to speak to management in the morning . So after using the reception toilets in the morning as there was no extra rolls of toilet roll in the room we spoke to reception. We were given a half baked apology but no offer of any compensation, for the price we paid I expected some gesture . Even a premier inn promise a good nights sleep or your money back . I wouldn’t have expected my money back. There was no offer to move us further away and only the offer of if you come back we will do something for you …. Based on this experience and the lack of further communication I do not think We would come back. Looks Great on the surface , foods was good but not worth the money
First visit but will be back. Fantastic service and excellent food. However worst bread we have ever been served in France for breakfast. Waitress said she had nothing else and gave us a few bread buns however they were also very stale. As you can imagine we were very surprised at this.Rooms: 5/5
Gorgeous place and well suited for large parties such as weddings or business trips. Staff are super friendly and go out of their way for you. Well worth the money.
We booked Beamish hall for our wedding, it was a big wedding of over 190 people and a lot wanting to stay over so we ended up booking a large portion of hotel rooms. The venue is absolutely stunning and the bed rooms fantastic. We had a few questions and queries in the lead up to booking and the front of house staff were superb! Julie and Debbie in particular were just amazing and helped us with some many concerns we had, nothing was ever too much effort for them ! Then when we actually got there they went out of their way to look after me my husband and all our friends and family ! We will definitely stay there again and would like to thank all the staff that work there for making our wedding weekend so so special x
Beautiful hotel in central location for exploring NE England. But advise doing so by car. Rooms are amazing and suits are breathtaking. Staff are as lovely as they come a special nod to Julie and Debbie @ reception and Graham - Maintenance. And nothing is too much trouble. Food in the stables from breakfast through to evening meal is superb. This is a must if travelling to NE England.
