Delicious - all cooked freshly to order, lovely specials on offer. Very comfortable quayside table and pleasant, friendly service. We returned on NY day and enjoyed a second dinner. See pics.
Absolutely brilliant! We had a very warm welcoming and cosy atmosphere to enjoy, overlooking the harbour from our seats! Had some delightful Olives & Bits as our starter / nibbles...a Shellfish Platter to share as our main extremely tasty & finger messy too lol and a couple of very delicious puddings including the Lemon Roulade and Blood Orange Sorbet, both stunning tastes!!! A lovely bottle of Shiraz and Coffees on top of all that!!! Have 0 fault here and I'd highly recommend to anyone!!! We will return one day in the future as we're here for a mini pre Christmas break! Thank you so so much for a yummy meal and fantastic experience / service!!!!
Rather confused fish cookery in a nice room BUT, Service is what happens *between* bringing plates to the table very little here and being Chef means caring enough not to let every dish be served with the same side of "mixed vegetables". That's the only photo I'll post because it tells you all you need to know.
Absolutely the best seafood meal ever! So delicious and perfectly cooked! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, the perfect place to go for that extra special meal.Food: 5/5
Did I like this place? NO, I loved it! Did we eat every single morsel on our plate? NO we ate our plates too. It was a gastronomic treat! Thoroughly enjoyed by all four of us. My friend Charles particularly enjoyed his Dover sole, and Fenton adore his prawns which felt so fresh and both had been caught that morning. What a great restaurant with very friendly unpretentious not gushy service. We loved it.
Been wanting to come for ages and finally last night got the opportunity with friends. Fabulous food. Very good service and looked after very well. Great ambience. We wll left full and happy, so thank you. Really great evening and will return!Food: 5/5
Faultless. Just a perfect experience all round. Can't wait to go back.Food: 5/5
We ate very early on a Thursday evening in March. The atmosphere was therefore lacking any buzz but we cannot fault the food and service. Whole lemon sole and my three fillets of fish were cooked perfectly. I even ate the skin which I rarely do. The raisin soda bread given as an entree was delicious. Hubby enjoyed his Chocolate Jaffa mountain for pudding. Go and try eating there!
Wow just wow, seafood platter!! Great service amazing food.
The booking process was not seamless had to leave a message as couldn't get through, had difficulties sending a text also. When we arrived at 19:15 the welcome was far from friendly, but we were seated right away. We were told that window seats had to be pre booked, but unfortunately we couldn't get through to do that. There were three waiters serving a half empty restaurant when we first arrived, but after around 20 mins, it started to fill. The window seats if you do get one, have a great view of the bay. We ordered drinks quite early, which came within 5 mins. The waiter came back in a couple of minutes to take our food order. From our table, one of us ordered from the nibbles menu, but nothing from the 'to start' menu. We then ordered four mains at 19:36. After around 20 mins of waiting for the nibbles, we tried to get the attention of one of the waiters, especially ours, but to no avail. There was complimentary bread served at the table. When the food did arrive at 20:23, 47 mins later, I asked about the nibbles, and the waiter explained that they thought I said no one wanted any starters, so it wasn't ordered. When I ordered from the nibbles menu, I subsequently mentioned that no one else wanted any starters, but it seems they thought I meant no one wanted any starters including the nibbles I just ordered. I said that wasn't the case, but in keeping with their poor customer service, there wasn't any response, just a blank look as if to say, not my problem which they gave on almost every occasion a question was asked. At one point she even changed the subject following a question regarding then menu, but I insisted that there be an answer, to which they responded, I'll go an ask. Thankfully, the food was very nice. We enjoyed the steak and the sides. The fish and chips were delicious, but not filling at all probably as there were about 6/7 chips on the plate. All in all the food would give this restaurant a 4.5 stars out of 5. The customer service us what brought it down. There was however, one waiter who had excellent customer service and was very friendly although she wasn't actually serving our table, but did come over a couple of times once we had our food to check how we were and to take payment. I didn't get her name, but she had a green dress, green mask and a moon tattoo. If the other two tried to smile and/or had her demeanor, the whole experience would have been brilliant.
