This is a tea and cake place that also does breakfast type food which is really tasty and a reasonable price. They try to cater to dietary requirements. The place has personality and the staff are friendly and helpful. There is some parking and it's close to bewl water.

Love this place not far from our home. Service can be a bit slow when busy but all worth it. Great atmosphere and delicious cakes (particularly the Victoria sponge...!)

Roy and Lynn have run the Beals for the last 5 years, last year Roy suffered a stroke and they have unfortunately had to take a backseat. Their staff have been amazing running the business in their absence. Moving onwards and upwards, 2018 is going to be good year! We walked all the way from Rosemary Lane round the reservoir to enjoy breakfast. We arrived at 10.40 and were ignored completely by staff (despite going to the counter several times to at least try and order a coffee). A lady came to take our order at 11then told us we were too late for breakfast as they finished serving at 11. Slow service and rude staff will mean I won't be returning.

This used to be such a wonderful place. However, recent experiences have been ruined by staff who have been rude and unfriendly. I just hope that the management realise that they need to address this before it's too late. After all, there are plenty of other warm and welcoming places in the area which we will be taking our custom (and I'm aware of several others in the area who are taking a similar stance). Such a shame.
