My favourite pub. It's the last boozer of its kind I know, with no craft this or locally sourced that. They don't even serve hot food, but do offer scampi flavour fries and Walkers crisps. For entertainment, they do have two pool tables and a dart board as well as screens for sport.
Location wise - awesome - 30-40 minute walks to the more action packed areas. Hotel - normal bedrooms for when you knly need a place to sleep and shower. The noise was awfull due to lack of isolation, a little chair would have been a nice addition in the room. Sheetd were clean, carpet not so much and the lack of 1 time use slippers just doesn't make sense. Pub - live sports and drinks, what more do you need. 3/5 is a good rating for here, you pay cheap price and get what you paid for. Hygiene was good, have to mention.
Raj was very welcoming and made us feel very welcomed, for what you pay you can't complain perfect location and lots of amenites in the surroundings, perfect cold pint would definitely stay again and highly recommended if your doing a night stay in london thank you raj for your hospitality.Rooms: 5/5
I recently visited The Beaconsfield, a pub that also doubles as a hotel. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon entering, I was immediately hit by an unpleasant smell that was reminiscent of a toilet. This was not the welcoming atmosphere I had hoped for. The ambiance was further dampened by the fact that the drinks were noticeably more expensive compared to other pubs in the area. On a positive note, The Beaconsfield does show live sports, which could be a draw for some patrons. However, this alone was not enough to salvage the overall experience. As for the hotel portion of The Beaconsfield, I cannot provide any insights as my visit was limited to the pub only. In conclusion, my visit to The Beaconsfield was disappointing. The unwelcoming atmosphere and high drink prices significantly detracted from the experience, earning it a rating of 2 out of 5 stars.
Awful Hotel's Pub. Bartender is playing on slot machines and pool ,hav eto search for him. In a pub only 4 different beers available. No IPA. Tables never clean. Quite low inteligence, overdrunk, agressive, impolite people are mostly in a pub.Service: 1/5
I used this place for work last week and am staying for two nights again next week. For its price point, it’s good. The location right on Green Lanes is unbeatable. The bathroom is a bit smelly and cramped but it’s clean for the most part. Staff are friendly too. Recent reviews are claiming bedbugs but I didn’t spot any.Hotel highlightsGreat value
What can I say? Words fail me. Grubby ? Huge ? Souless? Well, 1 out of 3 ain't bad. Yes, it's Huge. Service ? Don't even go there, woman who "tried" to serve didn't understand a word of English and the chap that then served was about as welcoming as clap in a brothel. But on the plus side its better than the old ale House further down the road which made Wetherspoons look like afternoon tea at Claridges
The Local for years now. Good vibes and atmosphere especially when the Arsenal play. Friendly people and a half decent hotel upstairs if ur looking for a cheapish room for the night or day.Rooms: 3/5
Can only comment on the pub: limited range of beers, substandard Guiness, morbid atmosphere and lingering smell of weed, although live sports and pool tables are positives. Just go to one of the pubs down the road instead
Just to be clear I don't give low ratings often. I do want to see small businesses thrive. The first time I stayed there, there were fleas and I was unable to get a refund. I was forgiving because sometimes those things happens. This was the second time I've stayed there and I simply cannot forgive bed bugs. The attitude of the manger who refused the refund this time was utterly disgraceful. This is a health hazard that ought to be reported to health inspection authorities. Safety: This is not safe for immune compromised people.
