Just stood at the reception desk to the emergency rooms this evening while the receptionist spent 10 minutes chatting up a colleague and point blank ignored me!!!!! A joke

Don't go for a scan here. I went for a scan and the consultant didn't even check what my GP asked them to. Then my health insurer wouldn't pay anything towards the cost because Beacon wouldn't provide information on the procedure.

€600 to be given a chair to sit on for 5 hours. DISGRACEFUL.....No Beds! Sent home in as much pain as I went into the hospital, with no answers. I was told to come in the next day to another doctor at a cost of €170. So someone please tell me why they can get away with this?! I pay my health insurance so I can be looked after in a case of an emergency, the only emergency in the Beacon Hospial is taken your money first then sending you on your way regardless of the condition you are in!

A&E was very clean, the waiting area was comfortable and not too crowded, and the care was excellent.

I was in the hospital with my son on Monday for his Tonsils removal and can categorically say that it was the only good thing achieved. The service was awful and of no value in comparison to money paid for it. From the experience I definitely would have been better-off with my son in a public hospital.
