Reviews
Attended the Beacon Hospital for the first time today under consultant gynaecologist Dr Oxana Hughes to have a procedure done, she was nothing short of amazing, I am beyond greatful for my experience with her, she was absolutely lovely. My whole experience with the hospital and every staff member I came in contact with, even down to just asking someone for directions were so kind and helpful. The staff in the surgical day ward were so so lovely. I felt compelled to write this review which I never do because I was so impressed with the level of care I got today.
I had a great experience here. The processes were smooth and the staffs are efficient and caring. I found some difficulties to reach whether I wanted to go inside the hospital as it is big. It would be great if the management can improve the navigation hints inside. Inside you can see a lot of cafes and large lounges. Just make sure that your insurance is covering your procedures here.
We managed to get a cancellation appointment after waiting a week. We then saw the Consultant for 20mins but had to wait over two weeks to get the referral letter for a scan. The Consultant dictates his notes and then we had to wait for another to type them uup. My own GP can write a referral within the appointment itself, furthermore they insist on posting the referrals, which added another 4days.nWorst of all, they were going to refer us to their own related Business for a Scan, who are still working on a backlog referrals from 7 months prior. When I mentioned to the receptionist they had no idea. Over €200 up-front for something our GP could have done in a fraction of the time and cost.nnPerhaps it's worth asking these questions up-front, but it's wildly inefficient to the point that it's almost a useless service in it's current form and time frames in which they can turn things around.
Nightmare. 20 mins just to get into the car park. The doctor's office said there was no fee for the procedure at the hospital. The hospital coded it wrong to a procedure I did not have. The doctor's office confirms there's no fee with the hospital 5 times. I have the emails to back this up. What is the point of ever using a private hospital? I thought you were supposed to be getting superior service and care? I've been nothing but stressed from this one visit. Awful experience that continues.
I recently had an MRI done here, and while the reception staff were friendly, the rest of the experience was disappointing.nnWhen the nurses called me to the changing room, they seemed rushed and hurried me to get ready. Once inside the MRI machine, they didn’t take the time to ensure I was comfortable or properly positioned before starting the scan. They didn’t even check my positioning, which is crucial for accurate imaging.nnWhen my results came back, my doctor pointed out that the quality of the images was poor because my head was incorrectly positioned. This made it impossible to compare both sides of my brain. For a procedure that costs 500 euros, I expected a much higher level of care and professionalism.nnAdding to the frustration, getting the results was a nightmare—slow and disorganized.
