Overall it's a great cafe. But it's just a bit second place in almost everything. Food was great, but not fantastic, good menu, but not amazing. Seating and cleanliness was great, but not super. Scenery was fantastic. Prices not bad, but not brilliant either. Staff, two were great, 3 were just awful. Incredibly fast service, too fast suggesting microwaved meals. Lots of inconsiderate walkers dragging mud and sand inside, thinking they own the place, acting very selfishly. Building outside looks good but needs some TLC. Very busy place. Recommended it if your nearby.
Lovely little cafe in a brilliant location, both inside and outdoor seating. The food is nice and there is lots to choose from. The outdoor counter is great too so you can buy ice creams and head down to the beach afterwards.
Nice beach café just behind the sand dunes. Loads of outside tables- it can be breezy - where dogs like mine can accompany owners. Watch out for the cheeky birds which fly onto tables if you don’t reproach them! Great food and drinks. Ice cream as well, even dog ice cream! We had Penang Curry very tasty said my wife and Veg Chilli maybe a tad bland I thought but a nice pint of Italian beer rescued it We regularly visit here on fine days.
After searching for an hour for a good cafe we decided to give this place a try from the amazing reviews, a few people said although expensive the food quality makes it worth it. I’d love to know what quality food they were given because the meat was like chewing a tire! My partner left his full meal after trying it. My child 4 also left his full meal. As it cost over £40 for 2 meals and a child meal, I decided to continue with mine. And couldn’t manage more than a quarter. We all felt sick as we left. The glasses we were given for our drinks were also absolutely filthy not just a few water marks, literal dirt. The chef should consider seasoning his meat and a good cooking lesson because a bland tire was not what I ordered. Would recommend sorting your food out or dropping your prices. Oh and please clean your glasses properly we haven’t long been out of a pandemic…
Have visited a few times in the summer for ice cream. First time sitting inside. Had 2 x hot chocolate with Marsh mellows and 2 x small pckt of biscuits each. Pleasant inside. Plenty of light and views. Was quite busy, this was a Sunday in January. Would visit again, the atmosphere is alright. Staff keeping tables clean, which most Important for the customer and others watching, for cleanliness. Could of been a bit warmer inside.
We stopped for a bit of lunch on a walk from Lytham centre as we have done previously and the quality of the food hasn’t dropped at all. We always opt for a bowl of soup todays was Roasted Red Pepper and fennel and it was excellent as always. It comes with two chunks of warm, fresh baguette and some butter. On this visit we also had some Apple Pie with custard which was equally delicious and a generous portion too. I can highly recommend a visit to the Beach Cafe.
Ordered a crispy chicken burger and chips, the chips are amazing, crispy, really chunky, good portion. The chicken on the burger looks a little small but that's because the bun was so massive, was very nice though. There was a 30 minute wait on food, because it was so popular, but it was well worth waiting for, unlike some unhappy customer who stormed out in a huff, deliberately spilling their drink, despite being offered a full refund and their food for free, they definitely missed out. I thought the staff couldn't have handled that situation any better, and that customer needs a reality check, everywhere is under staffed, people need to be more understanding of the impact of Brexit on the workforce yes that is the real reason for staff shortages, not covid.
Probably the best café in St Annes and because of that it can get busy and window seats are quickly taken. It is best to go with someone else to secure a table while ordering. All day breakfast served is a great idea. They had run out of scones when I was last here. Young friendly staff and the place is very clean. Door entrance is perhaps a little awkward for older clients and those with disabilities.
I have visited this cafe many times for ice cream and coffee. Today I also had their mini Veggie Breakfast which was lovely. Everything was cooked perfectly and served quickly. I have recommended this place to friends and will continue to do so. The arrangements for COVID have been well planned are are executed well by staff.
Freshly prepared food, great menu, friendly staff, sea side location, what is there not to like.
