Super nice place to ride if it's rainy outside. Quite easy to find, open from 12 to 10 everyday, guy at the entrance is really kind. Be careful if you ride bmx or scooter, helmet are required, if you don't have one you can rent one for 3£
Bay 66 Missing stars because the staff don’t give you the time of day, they are quite rude. Maybe I just had a negative experience, it was probably just a one off. I skateboarded here once and never been here again. It is full of posh teenagers or toddlers most of the time. Brooklyn Beckham has been seen here. Definitely a spot for teenagers to try really hard to seem cool and edgy. I would avoid. Scruffy jeans, gold chains, and AirPods are the current style here. I would say this place is only good for toddlers/young children because there are exclusive sessions, so they will not be knocked off. Also lots of other parents standing around watching their children or helping them maintain balance. It’s a good place to start out because there are some easy ramps. There is a toilet, a café and a reception. You can buy skateboard paraphernalia here too; grips, stickers, wheels etc. If you are a keen skateboarder thinking of checking this place out, you’ll probably prefer Meanwhile gardens or South Bank. But this place is most suitable for beginners.
I’ve travelled down to Bay a few times now and it never disappoints! I like 20 mins from Adrenaline Alley, but i would rather travel hours to Bay The half and bowl are brilliant, and the street has a great range of things to satisfy all wheels. The other skaters are always chilled and respectful, which gives the place a welcoming and encouraging vibe. I’m a beginner/intermediate quad skater and dont feel intimidated or uneasy here, and always leave with new learns under my belt. The park is in good condition , obviously well looked after, and the pricing is so reasonable. It only loses a star because the other facilities could do with some improvement; the toilets could be better stocked and a bit cleaner, would be good to have a way to buy drinks/snacks with card too!
I've been skating this park and versions of it for 20 odd years now. I've seen it change mostly for the better but some issues still persist. 1. The park suffers from I call the runway effect in the street area. Basically because the layout is designed with higher platforms you essentially skate downhill. Great, you don’t need to push but it encourages bombing and it doesn’t work very well on the way back up with a high number of skaters. 2. For those been around long enough you will know what was once known as playstation skatepark used to have a brilliant long mini. In the same general area we now have a higher midi essentially the same height as the bowl next to it which to me defeats its purpose. Please bring back the mellow mini, it was awesome! I was able to learn a lot of stuff on that, not so much with this latest one. Also that back area in general could be better put to use in terms of space, there are just tables and couches etc laying about. 3. Staff friendliness is improving but the vibe is still: we’re in a crew and you ain’t in it Overall the park is good, the facilities have improved and the park has a lot of options so it makes for a decent afternoon especially when it's raining but more work can be done.
The best option to skate in London on a rainy day, which sadly happens frequently... Park is mostly for skateboarding with lots of curbs, but you can have fun with your skates as well. Great bowl and mini.
Awesome park! I work close by and like to go here to wind down after a days work! Lovely people and a great community
Guy Burchard, skateboard instructor at BaySixty6, is an excellent teacher and great fun to have lessons with. As an adult getting into skateboarding, I cannot recommend Guy highly enough. His one-to-one lessons are excellent value, given the quality of the coaching and the progress made in each session. 5 stars!
Been to this park twice and its super fun! Ive been to a beginners session on Sunday from 10-12pm helmets required and on Thursday evening with the roller boot gang gang GANG. Pay about 5-7 quid to enter. The wooden ramps and bowls are super forgiving. Would definitely recommend this park - though it is a bit out of the way if you're not based West.
Good park under the bridge. You don’t have to book online, usually u can just walk in for a sesh.
the park is very well built, has a lot of variety and 2 really good bowls. I also liked the fact that they have a skate shop. amazing skate park for intermediate+ skaters. the reason i'm giving it 4 stars is because it is usually very crowded. It's mostly made up of rails, stairs, ramps and quarter pipes so it's going to be hard for beginners.
