There is a good selection of starters, mains, sides and desserts - every dish we have tried so far has been excellent. The service is also very good with the most friendly and welcoming staff !! The restaurant now has a dessert shop / selection at the top " sugar on top" , which is a great touch especially when you're craving something sweet after your meal.
We went there recently & I was impressed. The place is very decorative & creatively designed. A small and cozy bar area to have a pre meal drink with a fine selection of beers, wines, cocktails, spirits & refreshingly soft drinks. It is very clean & tidy & our table was sparkling clean with the waiter always at hand. From where we were seated I could see the kitchen, it looked very clean and spacious with at least 7 chefs all dressed appropriately, in their whites & chefs hats, a green flag straight away for me meaning cleanliness & hygiene being taken seriously. I had the prawn cocktail to start with which was very good, but being an ex chef myself, the Mary rose sauce was too rich with just slightly too much vinegar I felt but still very good. We then had a chicken balti which was superb, cooked to perfection seasoned with all the right spices. The Naan bread was actually the best I have ever had. The place has a good atmosphere & a perfect place to relax and unwind. I would definitely recommend going if your ever close by. The food service staff where always asking if everything was ok, very polite & helpful. Toilets sparkling & fresh-10/10 Definitely going back..
Obviously very popular Indian restaurant not far from the Etihad. I had a £15 happy hour meal which included a starter, main course and rice, so good value. Food was good, service was very good. I chose a very mild curry which i regret, it was a bit bland but I think that was my mistake, should have chosen a different curry. The Lamb Chop starter was really nice. I'll definitely come back and order a Madras!!!
Top notch food and service! Will definitely be going againFood: 5/5
This has got to be the worst curry I have ever had, I asked for lamb and chicken karahi but got something that looked like jalfarazi with soo much onions and peppers...unbelievable. clearly they don't know the difference between different curry's. All I could taste was the horrible base gravy. They are lucky most of there customers would eat anything served to them otherwise they would have to shut up shop and even more lucky that I have to give them 1 star otherwise they should have got 0 stars. What a disgrace to Indian cuisine.
Dined at Baytree on a busy Saturday evening and all I can say is what a fantastic evening!! The staff where EXCELLENT and couldn’t do anymore for us. Everyone was so super welcoming and you could feel such a positive energy on entrance. We could also see the staff having fun and greeting regulars which is always a good sign! We ordered a variety of starters, all extremely tasty! For our main course we went with a few recommendations from the restaurant manager and all 5 of us were super impressed; the butter chicken tikka I will absolutely be ordering again! We will be back and look forward to seeing Haffis and all the staff again very soon
OUTSTANDING. I’ve been eating from here for the last 5 years, never had a bad meal. By far the best Indian restaurant in Manchester, if not the UK. I would have left a 10 star rating if possible.
The steak and chips were fantastic. The staff was extremely amiable and the service was on point. The restaurant's interior design was quite appealing and not too ostentatious. The seating is plentiful and really quite comfortable. It's a great place for everyone. If you're wanting to take your family to a nice restaurant that serves delicious food and doesn't cost an arm and a leg, Baytree is ideal. The only minor downside would be the lack of parking outside the restaurant. This isn't a major issue as there are nearby streets you can park on. I wouldn't hesitate to go here because of this as everything else makes up for it in bucket loads.
I've been ordering takeaway from this place for a couple of years now. The Habibi Spicy Biryani is the most aromatic, flavourful biryani I've had in Manchester, and their Dhal is very fragrant. Will keep ordering for the foreseeable future!
Hair in my food n very cold Parking: Bad parking spots
