Nice curry house. Efficient service, friendly welcome. Currys tasty and on the mild side. Does not serve alcohol no problem with that, can get drinks from next door. Would revisit.
Really excellent Indian food. Ordered a variety of dishes to share with my family and we all really enjoyed everything. One of those meals where you repeatedly mention how much you're enjoying it as you eat it.Food: 5/5
Not very impressed. As it's takeaway only I ordered and was told it would be 30mins. Returned after 20mins and the food was already done. The food was already going cold. Two dishes ordered were very bland. Bengal special is chicken and king prawn. One king prawn in the dish. Disgraceful for £10.95. Chicken tikka masala for £9.95 is mainly sauce with a small chicken breast at most. Naan bread was very doughy and not cooked on one side. Chips were swimming in grease and at £3.50 a portion were terrible. I now know why the chip shop in aberdovey was so busy and the Bengal was empty. Definitely wont be back.
On holiday, My Birthday and after reading the reviews there wasn't another place worthy to go me liking Indian food swayed that decision lol I had a Chicken Balti with Garlic Nann and Mushroom Pilau Rice, Absolutely delicious it's a pity we live so far away esle I'd be in here most weekends, we'll worth a visit you will not be disappointed..
No long opened still having a few teething problems please don't let this put you off. We a party of six had a wonderful evening here on our first night in this wonderful village. Service will improve I'm sure as they find their feet. FOOD was lovely all came out as was ordered nice and hot some a little too hot . When we revisit the village we will be eating here again. ALCOHOL NOT LICENSED BUT YOUR MORE THAN WELCOME TO BRING YOUR OWN. they do have limited soft drinks
A poor experience on so many levels. Service was shocking... asked for a main to be split 3 ways as a starter and was told Very abruptly NO !. Asked for Lime pickle that never came. One waiter needs to improve vastly his personal hygiene. You have to question hygiene standards, our pilau rice dish was presented onto of naan breads. Other diners walked out after waiting for a hour just to have order taken. Portions were very small... I had two TINY lamb samosas and hardly any side salad. Had garlic chilli chicken for a main course , no chilli flavour or heat, garlic was very badly burnt and bitter complained but got no response , the chicken was just 5 small pieces of chicken tikka tossed in the sauce. Given this establishment is CASH ONLY, you do have to wonder about the customer experience commitment? If there was a zero star rating I would give it.

Very good food. Bit pricey as you have to pay extra for rice or naan. Bring your own booze or buy from pub next door. Service felt somewhat cold at times. Vegetarian options: Flexible vegetarian and vegan options
Great food. Best restaurant in Aberdovey. Wasn't hard tbh... But that's a story for another time. Had the biryani. Lovely, rich flavours. Would recommend. Grabbed a beer from the pub and had it with my meal. What's not to live :0
Got a takeaway 17/08/22. We got poppadoms and pickle tray, Peshawari Nan.pilau rice a lamb Naga and chicken tikka masala. The food was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were very polite and the service and wait time was very good ...if you're visiting Aberdovey and like an Indian then I highly recommend..
