Spacious. Well-built and well laid out building. A bit out of the way of the rest of campus, awful to walk to with often extreme wind and rain in the area leading up to it, even worse than the rest of bay campus. Tends to be quiet in the morning and evenings. Full during the uni day ~10:00 to ~16:00. A lot of the laptop chargers don't work though, and I've actually broken two charger cables already because of how much they have to bend with how close the power outlets are to the desks. Because the desk outlets weren't working one time, I had to plug my laptop into the floor outlets, and I dropped the lid of the floor outlet on my thumb by accident and cut it pretty badly, bleeding stopped within a few minutes, but not good overall. Men's and women's toilets are on opposite sides of the building, with no gender neutral toilets. Makes it conspicuous for trans and non-binary people as to which bathroom they use. This can make it seem quite unsafe in the library, not that I have actually encountered a dangerous situation yet. It would be good if something could be changed here. Also, women's side disabled toilet has always been locked each time I've tried to use it, it doesn't have any occupied indicator so I'm not sure if it has actually been closed off or not. Men's side disabled bathroom's handle has broken off so there is no way to lock the door for privacy, makes it completely unusable too. Men's side disabled bathroom is covered in pee but I think that might be men's public bathrooms in general. Security guards tend to be nice, kind, friendly. They are there to help and look out for students definitely.
Due to the current situation, access to library is possible by appointments only. There are plenty of sanitizers spray and gel near every desk.
Excellent Library, friendly staff, good facilities. Great place to study. 10/10
