Ordered some food for a group at really short notice, presuming to be told they couldn’t accommodate but couldn’t have been more wrong. Wonderfully kind people, who went out of their way to provide a prompt and quality service! Whilst I’m not from the area, if I do journey to Crakehall, I’ll be visiting here. Thank you all very much. Lovely, traditional pub, blazing fires and friendly landlord. Best to let them know you are coming in the winter months. Good mannered dogs welcome.  Vegetarian options: My vegetarian friend certainly enjoyed her homemade vegetarian chilli.  Parking: Plenty of parking during the winter on week days, but imagine may be harder at weekends and in season.

We had our Sunday lunch here, all home cooked food, the Roast Beef was absolutely beautiful. The staff were helpful, attentive and genuinely considerate. It was clean and tidy too. I would definitely recommend and visit again.

We stopped off here for an early dinner following a 3 hour walk with our dog. The landlord made us very welcome. We had lasagne and scampi and didn't have to wait long for our meals to arrive. The food was lovely and the chips amazing! Wouldn't hesitate to go back next time we're in the area.

Turned up on the off chance. Had a lovely meal very fresh everything was homemade. The customer service was second to none highly recommend.Can't wait to go back.

Very friendly place and a great spot to sit in the sun for a pint. Safely socially distanced and a pleasant walk from Bedale.

Mike Sands had no idea what he's talking about!! great food , beer & welcome think we were the only 2 holidaymakers in there very busy with locals really can't fault it. Will definitely be back if we're over this way again . Lincolnshire pubs could learn a lot here . Thank you
