We were just driving past and decided to pop in to see if they had availability for Sunday lunch, which luckily for us they did.  We hadn’t read any reviews before we went so we’re trying blind but so glad we found this little gem.  The homemade rosemary and sea salt bread was a nice touch and very good. The starter of home made black pudding was absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend.  The roast beef was outstanding, perfectly cooked and all the sides were fab. I’d definitely suggest ordering some of the cauliflower cheese on the side as well.  We just had the one dessert of sticky toffee pudding and again this was excellent, even the ice cream with it was great.  It’s very clear the food served is of the highest quality and all fresh. It’s not the cheapest Sunday lunch but is one of the best ones we have had.  We would definitely recommend and will be back.  Thanks to all the staff for a great visit.  I’ve put some pictures on of our starters and dessert although totally forgot to take one of the mains when they came.

So grateful to Bay Horse. They let me sit and participate in an online meeting with basically no notice. Wifi was rock solid. Nice environment. Friendly and helpful staff. And a great lunch with a good plant based main option.  Hope to see you again!

Went for a meal for my Birthday and was very  disappointed  with the service and the food. Booked online but when we arrived  they did not have a table for us and stuck us at a unsuitable placing. We did have a chance to move once a bigger table became available. When the time came to order the online menu did not match the actual on site menu. They dont do a kids menu either. The orders of 3 of the 5 meals came to the table incorrect. The food wasn't very good and there was a hair in mine. The waitresses either didn't listen or didn't care. All in all small things but a catalogue of errors that made for a rubbish experience. Also the toilets were not very well maintained or cleaned. I prefer to give good reviews and not do bad ones as i own a business too. But this place should improve there service for the prices they charge. They did not charge us for our childs meal because they brought it wrong and had to go make another. 2 stars was for the small discount and the log fire

We had a takeaway lunch today - delivered to us bang on time and very hot and delicious too. Kids loved it and no washing up. Thoroughly recommend first class

Met up with the family for a spot of lunch. We had been here many years ago; and it looked very much as we remembered.  2 x Korean Burgers ordered - Brilliant 1 x Burger - Ver good 1 x Bangers ans mash. Very nice, but small portion. Could have done with Veg.  Friendly staff who were quite attentive.

Lovely food, spoke to a member of the kitchen and they were enthusiastic about the dish I asked about. Bar staff are nice, good selection of drinks and atmosphere is cosy.

We had our Christmas 'do' at the Bay Horse last night 17 of us from Ashby Dental and felt compelled to review the pub because the  food was utterly delicious, beautifully in presented and piping hot.The young staff were so sweet,smiley and attentive. I'll definitely return here as normally I pass by twice a day five days a week on my way to work in Wetherby from knaresborough.   I've had some terrible quality party nights but this has been the best thanks to all x

The food was amazing, and the service was lovely! I had the lamb pie, and it was just so tasty!  If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely be popping back!

Fantastic pub with a great atmosphere and amazing food that is all freshly made on site even down to the burger buns. Friendly and attentive staff throughout. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely cosy pub with top notch grub, can't wait to go again and try some more delicious food  .
