Lynda Merrill-Jones has proven on numerous occasions that investing in professional legal advice is priceless. Some of the comments here reflect the flustrations of having to pay for legal advice and anyone of us can appreciate the pressures finding these funds place upon us. We purchase a house through a them. The communication is very difficult with the team.  They asked for some documents that had to bring  from India. We understand the regulations but they insisted us to get the documents dated 10 years before. They kept insisting on that.
   We asked our friend who is a Barrister with a law firm said what we provided was enough. We asked for the supervisor, to ask some question. She never replied which was not a professional service.
  After lots of emails to and fro they accepted and we got the house.
It did not take that long time and the house we were buying were empty.
  Their fees are also competitive so overall ok

Appalling. Don't go to Lynda Merrell-Jones unless you want to be treated like a criminal - even if you've recently been a client of her colleague Andrea). Such was my case on arriving promptly for an initial consultation appointment for which I'd already paid the requested deposit by credit card. Would not even see me unless I paid the rest up front on the spot. Didn't have credit card on me; turfed out on my ear. Absolutely awful treatment of existing customer. Complete lose-lose situation; ridiculous to think I would not pay the balance! And yet prefer to lose my business and any future business from me, my family or anyone else I can advise, rather than actually trust an existing client who has already paid part of the consultation fee. Truly contemptuous.

We have just exchanged on our purchace whilst using Batrick Clark Solicitors. We had Sinead Jest working on our behalf who is a trainee solicitor, and who was absolutely brilliant. Replied to emails and queries so quickly, and always did her best to help us throughout the whole process. We can't thank her enough. She was absolutely lovely.

I was unimpressed by the curt and impatient responses to my queries. If that's what Battrick Clark are like with a potential client, God knows how bad they'd be once I'd signed a contract with them. Good manners cost nothing, after all.
