Such a cosy, wonderful, relaxing pub! One of the best I've ever been to. Very friendly service. Super delicious food. Awesome drinks. What more can you ask for. Thank you for everything!
What a lovely experience, we came for dinner and it was absolutely beautiful. Not overpriced, it’s dog and child friendly. Lovely helpful staff. I can’t fault it. Thank you so much for a delicious dinner and a lovely evening! Will be back very soon
Staff were absolutely outstanding, really friendly and helpful going above and beyond to make sure we had a nice visit. We used the car park and went for a walk nearby past the aerodrome before coming back for a fantastic Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Gluten Free option was excellent with gluten free Yorkshire puddings and gravy. Beef was melt in the mouth. Nice environment, toasty and warm, traditional layout with hard work having gone into halloween decorations. Really impressed and will definitely be back.
I will start with the good parts, the place looked clean and very cozy, there was a big parking which is always great advantage. The food presentation was really good too, however that is the end of it. uninterested staff and very rude which was the biggest disappointment for us. The food quality was good, I personally was happy to give 4 stars to the food only, not the service for sure however, the rest of people on my table all voted 3 stars for the food and 1 star for the service. Would I go back? With this level of service, No.
We went on a late Sunday afternoon. We booked via the AA app 15% off we were glad we did because even at 4pm, walk-ins were turned away. We brought our dog and he was treated like royalty. He even ate before us yes there is a doggie menu. The only downside was the long wait for our food. But that’s what you get at a popular place like this. The carpark is big. Interior pleasant. Staff is super friendly.
Lovely vegan mushroom ale pie and spiced aubergine & beetroot burger! Pie crust, filling, chips, and veg were all nicely done. Burger pattie was awesome, too. Must come back again! Mocha torte Ve was good but maybe not on true same awesomeness level as the pie and burger. Or maybe I was too stuffed to enjoy it in full…
Nice restaurant with decent food and atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Sunday roast, steak, fishnchips about £12-16. Great service too.
Excellent steak and starters finished off with a brilliant dessert, great value for money
Came here with the family and friends and the restaurant had cornered off a section just for us which was great. The food was really tasty, the kids menu is very diverse and way above the standard in most pubs. The waiters where really kind and friendly and we had lots of help getting what we needed extras / spoons! The toilets are super clean and modern too - again not like your normal old pub these days! Only mark down was they missed some of our order having made us order in advance, plus the service really slowed down once we had our mains and we had to go ask for dessert, more drinks and the bill Having said that I would definitely come back!
Sadly no pictures of the starting sharer board good value for money and some nice bits to share including lamb kofta, Korean chicken, salt and pepper squid and flatbread and houmous or main of seafood grill grilled salmon, sea bass and tiger King prawns too busy devouring the lot. Food and service great, do book ahead as it was busy. Got a picture of my dessert, bakewell tart and custard, simply delicious
