Huge Park, great for taking the dog, going for a walk or having a jog. Beautiful views right next to the water and often see cruise ships and other boats sailing on the river.
Visiting the area and love getting my steps in before breakfast. Great walk from the Campbell street side of The Esplanade over to the Battery Park. A couple of rounds of the park and back along The Esplanade. Lovely to see so many folks out in the morning for a run, walk or playing with their dog. There was an organized kids run on this morning. Lovely to see all the happy faces participating.
Battery park is a lovely open space to go with family, friends or dogs! There is a cycle lane and a walking lane and plenty of grassland. People are generally respectful of your space. There are two sand playparks, one with swings for younger children and the other with climbing frames/slide/roundabout for older kids. There is also an outdoor gym and although some of these need some serious oiling, it's kept in good condition. It's possible to get down to the stones/water I'd you'd like to look for shells or throw stones in the water.
It's a great public park with a lovely play area for the kids that is completely enclosed giving extra security and peace of mind as a parent. The entire park is well tended and clean. Could may e do with some planting or features but it's a very useable space with incredible views over the Clyde. Also some lovely cafes nearby for a hot drink on a cold day like today

Lovely place for a walk in the nice weather. Gorgeous views! Shame the play park was locked due to covid-19 but we'll be back once all is open again.
Great park. Very open which is helped by the fact that it is located next to the River Clyde. Beautiful location and scenery. Close to One Cove Road Café and Gourock itself. Nice just to walk around with friends or your pet or even on your own. You won’t regret a visit here.
Always travel here with friends with a lovely walk around the park it's self, with lovely views and children's play parks with disabled access, skate ramps and sand areas, the battery park has everything for the woke family to enjoy, with a huge green grass land it's prefer for a games of anything!!
Nice big park, great for walking and has lovely views. Can be a bit wild in inclement weather as its so open and exposed. Dog-friendliness: Lots of dog walkers who are mainly friendly.
