Battersea Park Children's Zoo

About

Battersea Park Children's Zoo is an exciting animal experience that combines a zoo, animal encounters, large well equipped play area, gift shop and café.

Story

Battersea Park Children’s Zoo can be found by the picturesque riverside walk in leafy Battersea Park. It is an exciting animal experience that combines a zoo, animal encounters, large well equipped play area, gift shop and café.

Amongst the animals you can see are cheeky monkeys, noisy otters, leaping lemurs, nosey meerkats and farmyard favourites.

At the weekend and during the school holidays visitors can watch the animals eat at set feeding times; a chance to see the otters dive for their fish or the meerkats come running, tails in the air, for their favourite treat.
Visitors can also take part by helping the friendly animal keepers to feed the farm animals.

The perfect venue for a family outing.

Paid £90 for silver experience with the little one it was a great day out. The zoo is a little dated but I deeply appreciate the effort made by the staff. It was well worth the hour experience to feed the animals and see behind the scenes. The experience paid for the general tickets also so we made a good day of it. Just please close some of the games as we lost some pennies being eaten by the broken machines haha. 10/10 go for it if you have the money to spend on a great experience for your little one.
Hi, we did the zookeeper experience recently. Me and my 9 year old son who has ADHD. The zoo keepers was friendly and very Informative on what the zoo is trying to achieve with its conservation. We had a great time feeding and learning about the animals we met. Our favourite was the Armadillo. Amongst other exotic animals, we also prepared food and enrichment for the animal. The zoo keepers Eliza, James and Lizzie were all great. Thanks for your time and knowledge. They accommodated us well. Would highly recommend.
Paid £45 for the family ticket, great bargain, and great experience! This is definitely a smaller child focused zoo and the playground is definitely a godsend to drain the kids batteries! Could not recommend more :Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
I popped to Battersea Park Children's Zoo to take a still life drawing class with Wild Life Drawing. Truly a lovely place to visit and can see the fantastic care the animals are getting. All the basic amenities you need when popping to a zoo by yourself or with family, toilets, café, zoo shop and playground. Lots of lovely animals to see despite their smaller footprint. I really appreciate all the conservation and educational work they are doing !
Loved this zoo! I visited as a solo adult, and really enjoyed it. Almost all of my favorite zoo animals were represented: meerkats, otters, lemurs, cats, ponies, wallabies, mice, guinea pigs and cute monkeys. I liked that there were very few of animals that I find “boring” in big zoos, so I did not waste my time on anything I don’t like. Attended two feeding times, and really enjoyed the keeper talks. It’s clear they love the animals a lot, and care very well for them. Very surprised at the conservation work they do, they are such a tiny zoo but helped bring several species back from near extinction, such as beautiful Bali songbirds, Scottish Wildcat and rare domestic life stock. Really admire them for putting so much effort into this! In terms of improvements, the cafe could have a better selection and more staff. Toilets very clean. Zoo well maintained. The only animal suggestion would be to get sugar gliders! Overall, well worth the 14£!
We visited Battersea children's zoo on Friday. what a lovely little zoo . But When we came home, my husband told me the tickets were expensive and that our daughter, who is less than 20 months old, had been charged for them. Am I shocked. What's going on here?Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Playground with animals combination of children's favorite. If only want to watch animals, it might be not good choice. But with several playground, kids really enjoy their time.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
It's more like a small children's farm than a zoo, I dint find it worth for money, there's all pet animals that you can feed and touch and there's hand washing areas so you can clean your hand afterwards, the zoo has play area for kids almost around whole of the zoo, there's sand pit, swings, a small water splashing game which is paid and a helicopter to fascinate kids, there is toilets as well so I expected it to be a bit bigger but it was so small we came out of the zoo after everything in an hour including kids playing.
Loved it. Its a massive playground & also a zoo. The talks are interesting as well. Loved the capuchin monkeys, birds, and the fab tunnel down to the meercat viewing dome!
What a lovely little zoo , an different kind of zoo with rarer animals. On the day we went not all the animals where out. But there was enough for the children to see. There is plenty of places to have a break or too have lunch. planned well placed recreation areas dotted all around.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
