Top quality batter and good as every mushy peas. Everything was cooked to order so allow a 5 minute wait. Didn't try the chips but they look absolutely delicious. Good bit of Yorkshire atmosphere too.
Great chippy! The lads who serve us are always friendly. Great gluten free options. Deep fried halloumi is something else with a bit of ketchup! Just about to go grab my self one now and can't wait! :
Nice little family owned shop that's more than a chippy. They also make home made treats like cheese & onion bites and Indian snacks aloo tiki. They cater for gluten free and vegetarians too. Unfortunately it's not viable for them to open all the time but it's a Friday lunch treat for me and my friends.
Cooked to order fish. Lovely chips and friendly service. Best in local area. Also does a good Savloy, which you don't tend to get very often in Yorkshire.
Not often I would write a review of a chip shop but I was very impressed with this one. Usual chip shop fayre on offer alongside some nice extras eg fried halloumi, spicy scallops etc coupled with crispy, non greasy chips made this an outstanding example of how a chip shop should be. Would certainly recommend.
One of our favorite chippys. Great selection, very well cooked, although they rarely have stuff ready when you walk in. Worth the wait, though.
over cooked food done by kids takes a long time for order to come and when someone come in after me and wanted 1 fish they gave her one of mine i had to wait for another fresh fish to cook while the rest of my order was going cold
