Food was amazing. The crepe and eggs and mushrooms, I loved them and would easily rate them 10/10. On the other hand, the drinks were not as good at all, 2/5. Chocolate drink barely sweet and quite mild in taste, flat white coffee was closer to white americano with a bit of foam. I would expect more quality for a hefty bill of £50 for 2+2.
Always a pleasure to go to Battles. The staff are friendly and the food is really lovely great coffee too. Served always with a smile. It's like a little bit of France in Harrow. Very relaxed atmosphere and it's doggy friendly! What I love most is they give opportunities for local teens and young people to work where other businesses may not, so not just a great café but a small business supporting the young people of the local community and give them a stepping stone to their working life. What's not to like ! Andrew, Pandora and the team get 5 stars.
Love coming here for a breakfast, brunch and lunch! Love the Battels omelette! Such a nice ambience, with gorgeous art surrounding you. Plus there is a beautiful little terrace with views over Harrow on the hill and beyond! Popped in again recently with the kiddos for a midweek hot chocolate with marshmallows treat, and they really hit the spot!
Not great. Very overpriced for what you get. You’d think if they charge such high prices they would source good quality fresh ingredients, not from Tesco’s. Service okay, wasn’t expecting much when we walked in and were told to find a table ourselves as the two girls chatted, but friendly and quick to bring food. Also charged for extra ham but didn’t actually get the ham, so chef doesn’t seem to read the orders properly. £41.50 for two omelettes, a latte and a chocolate milkshake. I would return for coffee but not food again.
I love this coffee shop, because it has a wonderful atmosphere, the food is great and the customer service is excellent. Every time when we visited this coffee shop, we always received kindness, great food, and fast service. 5+ star, definitely will come back.Food: 5/5
Avoid this place. Food is below average. Waiter was extremely rude and condescending. They got my entire order wrong. The coffee took about 15 minutes to arrive. I would recommend going to the Doll’s House on the Hill which is a 10 second walk from here.
2 people; 4 eggs boiled & poached, 4 slices of hovis brown bread def no artisan or sourdough, a tiny side of mashed avocado, 1 coffee, 1 hot chocolate = £28. Something is wrong there. Really nothing special and wouldn’t go back. Could make the same at home quicker and walk up the hill for the view afterwards. Disappointing.
Over priced food which lacked flavour, I'm still shocked at the price for what I had. Lovely staff and space but menu needs more thought and flavour. The price needs to match expectations I got an overly priced panini with a knife and fork. Why oh why?
It’s an expensive cafe, with average food. We had cheese and bacon toasties nothing special, hot chocolate nothing special and a milkshake poor, syrup, based, small, expensive. Nice venue, good views. But save your money. Walk 10 mins down into Harrow town centre.
Very very very rude waiter who refused to make me a coffee as I remarked that £10 for a panini was extortionate. Would never go back. When I have been before, food was very average and not worth the price. Avoid at all costs.
