Lovely little cinema with friendly staff and comfy leather couches for seating. I went on a very cold winter's night, and it was not freezing inside, but I did need to keep my coat on to stay comfortable.
Lovely cinema, staff were very sweet and snacks and drinks are very reasonably priced compared to bigger cinema chains. The sofas in Cinema 1 are super comfy and it’s nice to have guaranteed space between yourself and other customers. Screen and sound quality were very good.
Film, snacks and drinks great however it was absolutely freezing in the cinema so will know to bring a hot water bottle and a duvet next time.
First time visit, thoroughly enjoyable, will certainly visit again. Felt like being in a proper old fashioned cinema, but much more comfortable and welcoming. The cinema is based in an old church, with several screens. The acoustics are excellent, couches comfy, staff friendly and welcoming, with teas, coffees, wine, and other drinks and snacks available. Well worth a visit.
A completely different experience from the norm
What a cool little cinema. Big leather sofas. No idiots talking or stuffing popcorn in their faces. How cinema should be!! Loved it.
Lovely cinema but was disappointed to be charged £6.80 for concession and £8.80 for full priced tickets when they are clearly priced at £6.00 and £8.00! It states on the website that there is an online booking fee of 80p per ticket but there is no indication that you are to be charged 80p extra on walk in tickets. We weren’t the only ones to query this extra charge and I consider the pricing to be very misleading.
Absolutely amazing. This is an intimate setting for a cinema. The screens are not trying to cram as many people in as possible. And for that it really success at delivering a prime viewing experience. If you are only doing 1 thing in Bathgate make it seeing a film here.
A wonderful local cinema, with comfortable seats in a unique and charming atmosphere. Only problem is that the showing we went to was empty - how aren't more people coming?
Great and quirky cinema, I thought with the layout and venue there might have been some compromises on video or audio quality but I must admit it was GREAT! the screen is huge the audio is epic and the video is also top notch! The snacks and drinks are reasonably prices which is nice, the lady that serves us was lovely too! There is no parking but you can park on the street all day Sunday and from 5pm to 8am all other days. There is also the Argos carpark which is about a 10-13min walk. There is not reserved seating, so choose your seat once you enter. They strict do not allow food or drinks from outside the venue but they have a great little shop. ENTRANCE I was convinced I would need to enter through the main church entrance. I was wrong. It's the entrance to the right of the church if you are looking at it from the road. Great experience! Definitely worth a go, my only complaint is that the sofas are a little short as I'm leaning back to view the screen my bum is near the front edge of the sofa. Edit: There IS disabled step free access I have modified my review after being informed where the disabled access is.
