Unfortunately can't comment on the soft play facilities here, other than to say sadly the session times are very limited at the weekend due to children's parties. Currently they are only in the morning. My friend & I met at Festival Place with our children & thought the soft play facilities here within the shopping centre were a great idea! Sadly, we popped in after our lunch, and found we had missed the slots for the day. It would be wonderful if some of the vacant shop units at FP were turned into a soft play centre for children. It would be very popular.
Very poor customer service from Better staffs , there used to be some nice staffs ,terriable experience especially for badminton court, when we are willing to pay geust fee for additional members and they are reluctant to let us play. They are simply not willing to do thier admin works and show some willingness for customers to play as we are paid members.
Very resentful staff, treats badminton court booking members like thieves . Even if we are ready to pay for extra player they create all sorts of issues. They are too tired to check and do the admin needed. It is getting worse day after day, need some good vibes there definitely. Basingstoke has one of the worst Better health experience.
Elaine is the best instructor for both yoga and Pilate. Sadly she does teach yoga any more. She still way better than the other pilate instructor!
Joined the gym in October. I’m 70 and have never been to a gym for leisure purposes. Just don’t do this. Have had each of the machines at home, but didn’t use them and sold each in turn over the years. I’m REALLY enjoying this gym and have already been over 30 times in a couple of months. Staff are great, friendly and plentiful. The equipment is plentiful and, I think, really high end stuff. I don’t feel out of place. There’s plenty of activity and all types of individuals. No need to worry about “looking out of place”. I just enjoy the buzz I like people watching anyway and can learn from others by watching how individuals use the gym. Though I get a senior £31 a month on direct debit, the parking is expensive, but I try to find free or lower cost parking, or catch the bus. And, having gone twice, I asked if I’d get my second visit included in the price if I joined that day, and got both days credited! And, I’m getting fitter. Mike
Started a membership this week and was surprised how easy it was to register. Everything was done via the website/app. The gym itself is bigger than expected split on 2 level. As a member, I also have access to the swimming pool and classes. The staff at reception are friendly and very helpful. Only thing I would mention is that I could not see any cleaning products/wipes to clean the equipment after use. Happy so far and can recommend.
Big room for soft play.. it was really quiet when we went and there are 1 hr session times. Small toilets with changing facilities and a little area to sit and eat. My 2 year old ran wild for an hour would of like to stay a bit longer though. The lift wasnt working when we went but the pushchairs were perfectly safe in reception. We would go back
Good Pilates class with Elaine. Gym was fine, but still need more cleaning stations. Having to pay to use a Car Park in order to get to the gym, continues to be a frustration. The Health Spa is great, just need it to be open more often I understand the energy crisis issue.
Good all in one facility. Gym Pool Sauna Remote workplace Kids area. I think the only thing it is missing is a cafe.. but it's in town centre so you could get a coffee from many other places. Fair pricing for full access
Not as good now it has changed to Better it has got worst. Prices have gone up and the service has got Worst since Better took over. Reduced when you can go lane swimming. Equipment in the gym is has out of order sign on a lot of equipment and takes months to repair The staff are always turning equipment off. The Disabled toilet/ shower cubicle in the women's changing room has been out of order for months. People are always taking of trainers in the gym to workout
