The worst take away pizza we’ve ever had ordered via deliveroo! Not only one was that oily that the entire box was soaked in oil, the oil was dropping from it but also the the quality was so bad. It tasted like £2 pizza which you buy frozen. We were expecting a high quality as the pizza is over £15 which more than some pizza restaurants charge is we thought it must be good. It we were totally wrong. The pizza went to bin and we will never be buying it again!
Second and last time I order from here. The first time wasn't great but I thought I try one last time as other locations are good. The Pizza was cold when it arrived, really tough and hard to eat and has a fraction of the topping shown on the online pictures. You pay above average prices for sub-standard food. Please don't waste your money
By far the worst pizza I have ever eaten. The pizzas were cold and the ingredients were very poor. The base of the pizza doesn't taste fresh, more frozen in my opinion. Totally unsatisfactory in all departments. Such a shame as when it first open it was really good.
We've been getting deliveries from here on and off pretty much since it opened. Long gone are the days of actual mozzarella and delivery within 45 minutes. Perhaps the staff are inept, perhaps the drivers are slow, perhaps the coverage area is too wide or the owners/managers just don't care any more? An hour and ten minutes to receive a lukewarm pizza that is inedible after 5 mins is the last straw. I have £10 worth of reward points but I won't be using them - hopefully that conveys my feelings.
I want to start this review by saying my girlfriend and I really loved Basilico pizza, it was great until a couple of months ago and we ordered many times. Don't know what you guys changed but the 2 pizzas we had delivered tonight were disgusting. Definitely not fresh, the dough was old and chewy and both the pizzas were tasteless. We threw them away, £30 of pizza straight into the bin.
Customer service at its absolute worst. I ordered a £25 pizza which arrived cold. The base was like chewy rubber and cheap cheese definitely not the 'fior de latte mozzarella' that was described was rubbery & overlooked. It looked reheated and the toppings were sparse. I called back to say it wasn't up to standard to be met with a very bad attitude from the manager telling me he checked it and I am wrong. I said it was not edible and requested a replacement - after a long conversation and insisting the pizza was perfectly fine - after all he did personally check it before the box was closed...he finally agreed to replace it. He gave me strict orders not to eat my inedible pizza because he personally wanted to inspect it - I agreed. Over an hour later - still no pizza! I called back and there was no recollection of my order or complaint. I was angry. They then 'remembered me' and said the problem was the manager had left and nobody knew...but this guy did insist he personally made my pizza and it was definitely fine. I told him I was expecting a replacement, to which he replied "oh yes, we sent it to the wrong address - we gave them 2 pizzas". He then continued to argue that this was my fault because I didn't tell his manager my address when I asked for the pizza replacement - I was never asked please also note - his manager is not there right now. Never once did I get an apology. About 5 times I was told this was my issue/ fault/ problem. I didn't get my pizza! I've asked for a refund - apparently the manager will call me back when he returns! Never get a pizza from here
Absolutely atrocious customer service. The company accidentally charged our card twice, then when calling to ask for a refund, despite giving evidence and allowing the company to investigate for a week, the Managing Director called and said "I run a 6 million pound a year business, I cant just dish out refunds to everyone who drinks too much on a Friday night and cant remember their order or cant give out card details" I understand being skeptical of my refund request but assassinating my character over what would be a small amount of money to a "£6 million a year" business is absolutely atrocious. What a shame about the poor customer service, the pizza was pretty decent.
Awful pizzas. Ordeted two pizzas which arrived so overcooked they were inedible. Gave them the opportunity to resolve. Two hours after original pizzas were ordered we received ONE replacement pizza, which was still awful. Apparently they were busy with only one driver and one cook. Feedback to head office who apparently respond within 24 hours. A week later, still no response. Poor food. Poor client care. Would not use again.
So I've just ordered a pizza from the website, its 1735 on a Saturday. I've been billed but haven't received a confirmation email. Call up basilico and the phone lines say they're closed? I've been delivered to late on many ocassions aswell. You will never have my business again - this place used to make the best pizzas in town.
I ordered one pizza for delivery about 3 months ago, it was OK, nothing special, a bit cold and bland. Since then they've been bombarding me with txt messages advertising special offers. The messages say that you can opt out by txting QYFD to 88802 but that number doesn't exist. It's really frustrating. Avoid, there are better pizzas available from more ethical companies.
