Travelling through and thought I would try the gym.nnSingle entry/pay as you go available but at £8.55 - fair for the quality of equipment in the gym but does put it at a similar pricing point as the high end private gyms. This is the main reason it didn't get 5*.nnOne major positive is, I don't think I've been to a gym that is more inclusive.nnAll levels of fitness and training goals seemed to be training in the same space.nnFriendly safe and patrons make for a very comfortable place to train.nnGreat machines and didn't have to wait/find alternatives despite the fact it is a community facility.nnHigh end Technogym setup, with plenty of cardio as well.
Changing rooms in the swimming pool area are tragic and dirty. Pool itself is also full of filth and dirt. Water needs cleaning or filters changed, went there once and don’t want to go back.nnGym requires more equipmemt - i.e - hyper extension maschine.
Most filthiest swimming pool changing rooms I have ever encountered. Looks like it hasn't ever been cleaned. Really disgusting setting, I brought my baby here and felt sickened by the state of the changing rooms, showers and toilets. Avoid this place at all costs! Staff were very rude in the cafe too. Surprising that the reviews for this facility have been consistently bad for so long and yet looks like nothing is getting done about improving it!!
Whilst the variety and scale of the facilities offered are very impressive it's totally let down by not being well maintained or looked after.nnCafe is expensive and doesn't really offer many healthy options when compared to similar sized centres across the region which have healthy, friendlier and cheaper offerings.nnParking is dire if you happen to visit at an evening or weekend.
I enjoy the swimming in the deep pool very much. this activity is also part of my daily fitness & revalidation routines. I would recommend a required use of caps for people with longer hair. I see frequently flocks of hair on the floor of the pool or feel hair strings locked around a finger when swimming. The use of caps is very likely to reduce those experiences.
