Had a great time when we hired kayaks and they were perfect for exploring the backwater off the main channel which was idyllic. The place would be easy to find using Google maps and the car park is big enough for customers. Staff were lovely including the lady who was criticised in a previous review. She definitely smiled at us. There’s a small cafe on site and they sell ice creams too. Lots of laughter coming from people on the many types of pedalos. A great place to spend the afternoon and the nearby Navigation Inn is a great pub too.

Finding it may be a bit tricky on navigation. Parking is a second issue there, though they have a small parking of their own. Other than that a nice place, many type of boats available for hire eg pedalling, canoeing etc. Life jacket for kids available at no extra cost. Friendly staff just that the old lady at the ice-cream shop needs to learn to smile more. Hiring rates not very cheap but not high either, Kids loved the place and the experience. Wish the water was a bit cleaner.
I booked a boat for scattering my father's ashes and have to say the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful and peaceful. It takes approximately 20 minutes to get to the spot and you are able to get close to the water surface to scatter the ashes. We were lucky it was a beautiful sunny day but there would be no problem if there was rain as the boat is covered. I would highly recommend Barrow Boating. A big thank you to all the staff.

Well worth a visit and a great cup of capucino with a bacon sandwich. Adjacent to the CRT services and a great place to rent a peddle operated boat/car, swan or other water cycles.
What a little gem of a place. Small cafe by the river, lovely to sit have an ice cream and enjoy watching people in boats on the water. Small hire charge for them but well worth it. Will be going again.
Lovely, friendly place to visit and hire a boat/kayak/canoe/pedalo for an hour. Our summer treat for the kids we really enjoyed it and had a slushie with bacon cob afterwards
Nice quiet place, relaxing boat trip. Staff friendly and helpful and picked a great calm spot to scatter my father's ashes. Would recommend it if you can't make it to India.
