I’ve been to this dentist around 6-7 times now. I can’t recommend them enough. I had my tooth pulled out with Barry today and I literally didn’t feel a thing! It took him less that 30 seconds. Always checking I was ok and he knew I had a weak gag reflex and didn’t mind at all, first dentist I’ve come across that didn’t make me feel guilty about it. Best dentist I’ve ever been to. Barry and the other dentists are great, really make you feel amongst friends and at ease.
Waited months for a check up and was told I need a filling, booked in and left work early to get back In time for my appointment. On arrival I filled in the paperwork then sat down for half an hour, I was then called to the desk and told that the suction was not working and I could not have my treatment. I was then told by Barry David these things happen and there was nothing he could do. This used to be a good dentist but all the good doctors left, stay away from this place.
Mr David, head of practice, is fantastic. His patient care, calm nature, kindness and reassurance made me feel comfortable and at ease. Add to that, the treatment I received and Mr David"s knowledge and expertise and I knew with absolute certainty I was in safe hands. A trip to the dentist is never pleasant, but Mr David made it as easy and as good as he possibly could. An excellent dentist. Thank you.
I've been going to Barrie David for years and have always been happy with their services. I'm also a cancer patient, with a weak immune system, and am prone to gum infections. Whenever I've rung Dr. Barrie, they've gone out of their way to accommodate me. They're gentle, kind, and compassionate. I highly recommend Dr. Barrie and Owain, too. They're the best!
Verry good denticle but Inpoble to get hold of on phone and by email IV tried for few hours now and no answer by phone or email
Always positive experiences with previous dentists here but today dentist Jenna was shocking! She spent no time communicating with me as a patient, just asking "do you have any problems with your teeth"? There was no discussion about any changes in medication or checking each tooth as every dentist had always done!!! She was more interested in talking over my head to the assistant about engagement rings and wishing she could speak Welsh not the assistant, she was simply answering her...... She told me everything was fine and when i asked her to check a previous filling, she then answered "oh yeh its chipped do you want me to sort it"? When making my next check up it'll definitely not be with her!!!
Great Dentistry however the system governed around it is ridiculous. 497 attempted busy calls from 8:15 to 8:49 for an emergency. Finally answered to be informed should’ve called at 8:20 when the line was busy for over 20 mins. It’s a free for all, with first come first serve; no reserving for the next day regardless of suffering or mental health. Full time student and still willing to pay for private as NHS is at it’s limit does nothing for anyone.
Did their very best to help me by giving me quick emergency appointments. Although my extraction was difficult I was told everything that was going on. Ensured I had taken medications for bleeding disorder before starting any procedure. Then saw me another time due to complications and when I phoned on 3rd occasion they could not prescribed antibiotics for me due to allergies so contacted my gp to ask for ones they could give me
I'm petrified of dentists and one of those nightmare patients who only go there when in pain. Yesterday I broke a tooth chomping into a chicken bone and today Owain recognised my anxiety, talked me through what he needed to do and what else I should consider, fixed my tooth and then sent me on my way in 30 minutes.....Incredible!!! He and his trusty sidekick nurse have totally positively reinforced my opinion of dentists after years of phobia and I've already rebooked for further treatment. Bravo Barrie Davis Dental Surgery and a special shout out to Owain who was amazing.
Wonderful dental practice, friendly helpful reception staff, Jenna Keenan and assistant truly lovely, able to put me at ease , very patient and gentle with me, restored my faith in Dentists.
