Why do they still insist you have to book online no wonder fly tipping and rat infestation it at its highest. Also I am aware of some elderly residents who have or do not know how to use the Internet come on east renfrewshire council the pandemic is long past let's get back to normal at your recycling site
i booked my slot online for a vehicle or “van” but when i arrived one of the staff seemed irritated as he approached me shaking his head and just said “no vans” for some strange reason they aren’t allowing vans in. it was disappointing as i hired the van after booking in but i checked again and i don’t see anything that says no vans allowed? the place was relatively quiet as well he could have easily let me continue, the van was small and i could have had fewer items than someone with a car, what if i parked at the bottom of the hill and carried my stuff to their skips? whatever the reason it should be made clearer at the point of booking your slot since they make you do that anyway.
Must be one of the best refuse centres in Scotland. Well organised and staff very helpful. No kidding! Please throw down some Tarmac to entrance pot holes!
Drove 6.5 miles to recycling centre.I was told I had to book as there had been complaints? . I explained I had come all the way from Busby in terrible weather conditions.The car behind me was turned away also. Apparently this ruling was changed on Sunday. East Renfrewshire approached to recycling is appalling. I have experience of South Lanarkshire service which is outstanding.East Renfrewshire could learn from them! 12 miles later and an hour and half totally waisted.
No problems to book and the guy check you in when you get there, it's well laid out
