Your calming supportive guidance through one of the most traumatic times in our families life has been amazing. Mum in the chapel of rest looked exactly like she was just asleep but looking as glamorous as ever you had followed all the requests I had asked for, even repainted her nails. Thank you for liaising with the florist to ensure the coffin was dressed how we wanted it with the garland around the sides. The cars and support from all the team on the day was perfect with everyone commenting on how wonderful it was to have the doves at the end of the service. 5* Service.

Barrells arranged the funeral of my late uncle in the latter half of this year. From the first meeting they were professional, kind and considered in all dealings and this never wavered. Their commitment to treating people with dignity and respect is exceptional. We are a small, rather eclectic group of family members, some of whom have had extremely challenging lives, and yet they accommodated each of us without judgement and we were never made to feel anything less than deserving of their care. For my mother, who found her brother’s death especially difficult, it was as restful and peaceful a process as it could have been, for which I am very grateful. Simon Thetford was our point of contact and he struck the perfect balance between practicality and sensitivity on all issues from the financial side to dealing with the coroners office. I really cannot recommend him, and the company, highly enough. Thank you.

I chose Barrells to organise my mothers funeral arrangements because they were a local firm who had a good reputation. I cannot speak highly enough of their services. Obviously it is a difficult time for friends and relatives but they treated everybody with great respect and dignity. I would recommend their services.

Many thanks are due to the services given to the members of the family of Ernest Carter whose funeral was held today in Portchester. We are so very thankful for James Martindale whose calm expertise and assurance gave us all such peace of mind and helped in providing dignity to the small band of us in saying goodbye.
